Pulled out the Jack Frost for Menthol Monday. Got a good lather and had 3 focussed passes with the GEM. Only my lower neck has me from being completely smooth, though I do have some irritation on my neck. A decent start to a Monday.
    Have a great day all!

Great shave this morning with no weepers or nicks. Just a nice comfortable shave with just a slight alum burn on the righthand side of my neck. I completed two passes and cleaned up a few areas on the neck.

First time using Soap Exchange soap. This is actually my son’s soap that I got him as a stocking stuffer for Christmas. It is a great performer.

Finished up with some Nivea and Clubman classic.

Don’t forget to honor Robert E. Lee today. His birthday was Saturday.

Y'all take care and have a great Monday!

  5. Maybe THAT'S it. Either way, just sounds silly.
  6. Good morning, and what a frigid morning. The therm-o-meter has -8F.
Been some time since we got that cold, bout a year or so.
The shoulder is not cooperating again, so I went for a SE I haven't used, yet.

A Schick E-2 I believe with a B-20 blade. I loaded some B-20 blades into one of the injectors a while back, but was waiting to get a focus finished.

Once again a one pass shave with the lessons learned from my open blade run.
This is a very nice and very close one pass for the first time on this tool. The open blade taught me how to run a blade across my skin in a way that nothing else has. With a touch up on the jaw line and bottom of the chin, I'm close and clean.
Wow! I am up a notch or two on the shave technique to say the least.
    Thank you shavette!
There was a small weeper on the neck but nothing a splash of water didn't stop.
The top half was also a one pass with some extra care taken too. Not to bad at all, close and smooth head shave and no issues.
No one could have convinced me you could get this close of a shave with only one north and south WTG pass, but there it is.
    Nice!
The brush and Stirling worked great and the AS was cool and felt good.

    Thanks to all!
    Enjoy

Wonderful two passes +cleanup today. Finally finished the Brain Bowl. Had enough soap for today. It had an amazing 4 year run. Loaded the WW Envy white two band with the last of it. OneBlade Genesis was smooth and efficient for a near perfect shave. Going with a Juniper scent today. CRSW and ADP and I smell great according my wife. Have a great week gents!

  9. Enjoyed my shave this morning with WSP Rustic Mahogony. WSP soaps do the job well, but I just wish they didn't end up like pancakes the next mornig. I can understand how they might at the very beginning, (as they're packed very tight into the puck), but it's hard to see that progress is being made as you go along. Having said this, I do see some suds action forming on the outside now, but there's still a lot of flat soap. I've had maybe 10 shaves with it(wild guess). The AV Musk tops off the shave nicely.
  10. Nice shave and I hope that shoulder gets better.

  11. I've had my eye on that Texas Leather soap(TSE)for a long time, Glad to see a positive report on it. :)
  12. Paul....I would like some more shaves with it. When I first lathered it up I did not have enough water in it and it was thin on the first pass. I added a little more water to it and whipped it up for the second pass which was a lot better. I don't think you will be disappointed with it. My son is into horses and loves the leather scent. It does smell like fresh leather.

I'm in to this almost a year and thought a few weeks ago that I had it down pat.
    Boy was I wrong!!
I got my shave on now, in a big way.

Terrific photo, Jim! I'll try Soapy Science for the first time in a few days after getting through Soap Commander. I have the unscented soap. Looking forward to it.

    Superb photo, Jim!

Very nice, Clint. Hopefully the traffic is a little less hectic today with the holiday.

Great photo, Paul! Sounds like quite the adventure.

Nice photo and shave, Charlie! Have a great day with the kids.

    Wonderful photo and shave, Jason!

    Great photo and shave, Danny!

That's a cold start to the morning! -8F would shut down everything here in Alabama. Nice shave!

Just wonderful, Mark! Photos are terrific and congratulations on finishing off the brain bowl. Quite an accomplishment!

  16. I would not say that. I dampened my brush and swirled some onto the tips of the bristles. I then whipped the lather up in the salsa bowl. It was the first time I had used the soap and just did not have enough water when I first whipped it up. After I added a little more water it was great. Once it is "dailed" in it is great soap.
  17. Thanks Perry
It's cold outside, but inside it's nice and warm. Got the wool blankets out too, we're good here in the boonies.

  18. I'm ready for the challenge :). Just not sure when I'll make the order at TSE. I'd like to sometime this year.
  19. Thank you, Perry!

  20. Survey update:

We have I'm Going To Shave-Simple Right? continuing to lead the pack by 19 over Cookies, Duffnuts, Or Ice Cream. In fact, speaking of 19, wwe have a tie for 4th with NB 19 and Straights&Pains. Reduce Soaps looks good at third, while Buy Everything In Sight lags last.
