I've used no tape and tape. Looks like a near wedge, but I'm not that proficient to be definitive. I did a coticule/Thuringian progression yesterday and more skin stretching. Had a darn good shave on two passes before finishing on the MMOC.

Today's JWest is a Takehana Feon 172, it 6/8 with a full hollow grind. The is wonderful razor, easy to hone, maintain, takes a sharp edge and holds it.
