Beauty of a start... looking forward to the JWest theme week playing out! Quality razors.

It's GEM Micromatic Monday on another forum. I love these old designs.

Anyway, this is an old John Holler/The Tower brand I call my beater because I've used it to learn to use stones. I've used no tape and tape. Looks like a near wedge, but I'm not that proficient to be definitive. I did a coticule/Thuringian progression yesterday and more skin stretching. Had a darn good shave on two passes before finishing on the MMOC.

Nice shave this morning. Touched up the edge with a fine Coti and a Celebrated Razor stone. Have a good one.

Newly acquired, restored, and honed. Very smooth, and comfortable 2 pass shave, that left me BDBS. Great shaving razor, with no issues.

Today's JWest is a Takehana Feon 172, it 6/8 with a full hollow grind. The is wonderful razor, easy to hone, maintain, takes a sharp edge and holds it.

J.R. Torrey 5/8 "Our 136" coupled with a 1934 Gillette model #88 as a third pass. I prepared the blade with the Thuringian under running water.

Had a beautiful shave with this very hollow ground blade .I just gave her a quick refresh on my Vintage Felsner Ruby Hone .Whiskers just disappeared with the lightest touch .BBS in no time .
