I refreshed this blade which had fallen out of favor recently. What a difference. Easy WTG strokes were making the shave a pleasure. Too easy as it turned out. Before you know it I managed to catch the edge on my skin. Yikes, a divot. I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later but that doesn’t make me feel any better about it. Maybe this razor just doesn’t want to stay in the collection. Yesterday’s shave, Gen 1 Filly 14 and Dior Eau Sauvage cream lathered with a Simpsons 57. A little Dior ES balm and a spritz of ES EdT finished things up. This razor was just cleaned up and I re-honed it yesterday but the edge is only 90% of what it should be, it will take a better one, so back to the rocks. Today’s shave, a CVH 7/8 MK 144 and SMN lathered with a Tulip 2. A splash of Harris Pink topped the shave off. Nothing wrong with the edge on this razor, BBS 2-pass as usual with a CVH.
Today is the first day of a 5 day holiday. Mon - Wed is a public holiday here for Lunar New Year. During this vacation my theme is smiling razors. To kick the holiday off in style I went my Edward Brice 6/8 half hollow pimp stick.
