Gem Bullet Tip razor Treet blade Stirling MITA SS FS/WD boar brush Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe Daxton A/S Why to Treet blades rust so quickly for me? Don't know but they do. Can only get about 3 shaves out of them before the rust takes over. Yes, I take the blade out of the razor, dry it and put it in a dry place till the next shave. Don't know what more I can do except not use them any more. Oh well, there are more good blades. BTW, ended up with a nice shave and all is well. Now go enjoy your day folks.
I'm slowly adding more to my collection of GEM style razors. Here are some that arrived yesterday. Interesting to me, the three Featherweights are slightly different from each other. Obviously, one is gold plated with a gold bar tip on the handle, however the nickel (or chrome)plated razors are different in that the rear of the cap (lever) is solid on one and lined or ribbed on the other. The gold plated is solid on the lever too. The two HFT/G-Bars that I own also have a ribbed/lined lever. I'm not sure what any of this means, just an observation I made. Questions for the group: This bullet tip GEM is also lacking the "guiding eye" or "Cyclops eye" that I've always seen in other's pictures. Does that have anything to do with production run? Also, was the gold Featherweight a deluxe edition? Happy shaving!

Fri 1st Feb. Jayaruh No 67 / Maggards Syn. L`Occitane Cade Cream Ever Ready Heavy Flat Top. [ E-Bar ] Gem S/S [1 ] Puig Quorum A/S Lotion I shaved yesterday with The Starling SE and drew comparisons with other Razors [ G-Bar/Push Button ]. As a follow up I used the British Heavy Flat Top with a fresh blade. The Shave was smooth and comfortable , the overall finish being quite good. The Starling produced a closer finish on the facial areas, whilst the HFT worked better for me around the neck.
Friday's Shave Cold Water Wash Mitchell's Wool Fat Jayaruh #313 Open Faced Damaskeene ShaVeZee SE CWR English Leather My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #313 badger brush. I did two passes with the Open Faced Damaskeene razor with a ShaVeZee SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with English Leather AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Those are all solid razors. I have a few reviews of them on my channel as well as on TOST youtube channel. As a matter of fact, we just finished up the Micro Matic series. You should check it out when you have the time. Which one are you planning on using first? I believe that @wchnu has a few videos of them as well.
Shaving with fuzzy, is @wchnu Ordinaryshaver is yours truly. theoriginalsafety2 is the one for the other forum that we talk about.
