February 1 Gillette 7 O'Clock PII Trac II Personna Twin II Plus Cartridge (1) B-400 by Tom handle w/Envy White Supreme Two-band Soap Commander Love Alum, Thayers WH, USB, Aramis & Captain's Choice Bay Rum Focus detour # 1 Good morning! This is the first of a four-shave mini focus. My Trac II is a favorite because I remember using my Dad's Trac II when I started shaving. This particular razor is a favorite because it has accompanied me on travels far outside my neck of the woods. As an added bonus, I'll share a few Calvin and Hobbes wintertime cartoons (my favorites) this month. I completed a two-pass plus touch up shave with the Trac II and all the fancy fixin's for a near BBS result. A full @RyX three-passer using the Trac II would be the Full Meal Deal, and I reserve that for a special occasion like National Ice Cream Day (third Sunday in July). Simply put, I used the same routine with this cheap cartridge razor that I'd use with my real razors and got the same, if not a better, result. Technique Trumps Tools. I look forward to participating in Favorites February, and I hope you all have a fantastic Friday.
Yeesh...looks like a textbook example of hyperbole, Perry. I think I’ve been very lucky that when I have said or done something asinine (like forgetting Charlie’s name about 3 times a year or so ago) that people have let me off the hook.
February 1st Gillette NEW LC w Polsilver APShave Co 30mm Synbad/Poculi handle SV Felce Aromatica SS & AS Thayers First day of Favourites February. I’ll start the month with my favourite Gillette OC- the NEW long comb. Pulled out the SV Felce as it is makes the favourites list for scent and performance. The SynBad chubby has also reached favourites status. Awesome 3 pass shave earlier this morning. Great lather, easily mowed down by the NEW/Polsilver (no idea how many shaves are on it, it was in the razor already) and left the house smelling super. This is going to be an awesome month. Have a great day all!
Fantastic setup Jason! I Love that brush handle! Do you find the 30mm Synbad to be springy ? The 24mm that I have seems quite springy to me.
Andrew, your 1917 Gillette OT Single Ring is a beauty. If you ever decide to let this one go, I'm interested. It's close enough to my Dad's birth year (1915) to count. Love seeing the Dynamic Duo - Logan and Declan - this morning.
Some people like them, others don't. They do the job for me. I only have one left and probably not buy anymore because I have 95 Rockwell DE blades, and 9 Personna hairshaper blades to last me 3 to 4 years because I mainly use straights.
