Dart/Supermax BDT. I approached this first shave with the Dart with considerable trepidation knowing that Ruds had given it a too aggressive thumbs down as a head shaver (and we usually agree). It's ok for me, curiously loud like the blade is chattering but no tugs or skipping. My only big issue is another terrible handle from Shane who seems to have a fear of knurling I don't really get. When it gets upside down on my head the wet handle really wants to go elsewhere which is not good given how much exposure we've got here. As sensible as Frank Lloyd Wright chair. I won't be using the handle again. Fine shave otherwise.

The Declaration brush really does meet up to its hype. The brush performed phenomenally well. Extra soft tips, incredible density and backbone make this one of the top contenders in the current brush market. It’s a wonderful piece that should have been in my den a long time ago. Noble Otters recent release of thé Noir et vanille did not disappoint. I find the base to be similar to Barrister and Mann’s Reserve in terms of lather, slickness and post shave feel. An excellent soap all around. The scent on this one is most certainly up my ally. All around this was a wonderful shave and I managed to achieve a BBS shave despite a few user errors on my part. We'll see what I feel like in the morning. I'm leaning towards the bath. I'm making immediate use of my recently arrived Royal Shave Lather Bowl. It's so cool to have a completed shave set. I was content to just face lathers with this set previously, but the bowl just seems like it belongs with this.
Hybrid Maggard Razor V2 OC on Jürgen Hempel Ti Handle / Rapira Platinum Lux / Grizzly Bay Decadent Twist / Soap Commander Love First experience with Soap Commander, nice true rose, very similar to Mystic Water's Yellow Rose, I give a slight nod to SC of the two; also the first mentholated balm I've enjoyed, and a great compliment to the many rose soaps in my den.
