This Orion is no virgin. She's been around the block and continues to perform like a star. When I use this brush I seriously consider pairing down the den significantly, it's that good...for me. I don't smoke but if I did I would have wanted two after this shave. Have a great weekend.

Friday SOTN Nice slick lather from the AOS lemon shave soap to allow the Supply Provision V1 Razor with the 3-dot plate to take down my beard. No mercy was granted tonight by the Chick blade. February Favorites!! February 1 Razor - 1960 (F4) Gillette Toggle (9) Blade - (1) Soap - Stirling Iced Coffee Brush - Jayaruh #230 Post - Alum February Favorites begins! Lots of great shaves already today around here so I thought I'd start off the night shift with a few of my favorite things. The Toggle with Sharp Star. Seriously - can it get better? Stirling Iced Coffee and a JR brush - in this case the 230 - and there is no way this is anything but an epic shave. I slowed down and took my time tonight. Loaded the brush, went for an extra rich and thick lather and did three full passes. Didn't really need the third pass. Just wanted it. Thoroughly enjoyed that menthol and coffee scent and the menthol kick his Iced soaps offers. The Toggle was wide open and smooth with the Sharp Star. Luxury. No other word for it. BBS result, and a great way to wind down a day that could otherwise be easily tossed. I feel better. It's gonna be a great month, I can already tell. This place is smoking busy - I get to play with favorite gear like everyone else - yep.....EPIC!! Have a great weekend!

Saturday Straights' Shave Cold Water Wash Mitchell's Wool Fat Jayaruh #313 Henry Taylor 5/8 CWR English Leather My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #313 badger brush. I did two passes with the Henry Taylor 5/8 razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with English Leather AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Saturday Prep: Warm Shower-Stirling Baker Street Soap: Reef Point Submariner Razor: Gillette Fat Boy Blade: Vintage Schick Plus Platinum (11) Brush: Turtleship Silvertip-24mmx55mm Aftershave: Reef Point Submariner WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard) Reef Point Submariner today. 20 seconds to load the Turtleship Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Schick Plus Platinum still in the Gillette Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Reef Point Submariner aftershave. Bob
