Another Super Saturday Shave- last week was with a "Streamline", today with an ER 1924. I find that when fitted with a longer handle the 1924 delivers an extremely smooth and comfortable Shave, with a top quality all round finish. Even with a new blade I encountered no problems during post Shave. The "Streamline " may well be my favourite, but IMHO the 1924 is ready available/low cost alternative.

I got it on the bay for a steal in my opinion. Less than 15.00 I believe. In person, it looks brand new almost.

That's a looker! I haven't seen a gold Treet baton handle yet. Thanks for showing it.
Baton handle SE's everywhere these last few days. I'm getting the urge to mix up my rotation and sub in one of my baton handles now. :D

I find the original Handle too light. A few Shaves in and am thinking that it is in HFT/Push Button category.

The shave does feel like that. I would like it better if it had a more vintage feel. I am ok with the handle. It is a ugly razor though for sure.

It is quite a long time since I used this Razor, and then I tried it with a Schick Proline Blade, and it worked very well too. Over the last few days I have been using different SE Razors all with fresh Gem Blades. I remember when I first used this Razor it had a fearsome reputation for being very aggressive. I now find that by not rushing the Shave and with care and a light touch, this Razor provides a really smooth Shave and today the finish was superb all round. No soreness or irritation and no need for Alum either.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #313 badger brush. I did two passes with the Superior Lather Catcher razor with a ShaVeZee SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with English Leather AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Every-Ready Shovel Head on Weber Bulldog Handle

I got my first shave in for February late yesterday afternoon. Yesterday was a lazy day for me. I just did not feel like doing anything.

I think for February I will focus on the single edge. I gathered all of my single edges up for a picture and I did not realize I had this many. I think they are multiplying like rabbits.

I chose the shovel-head for its awesome good looks and mounted in on the Weber bulldog. I was amazed at how good a shaver this puppy is. It almost talks to you with the amount of audible feedback. This shovel-head is loud. This is actually my second shave with a SE. My first was with a MMOC and was rather rough. I believe my angle was off because I was shaving like it was a DE. I laid the shovel-head against my face and brought the angle out slightly and let the razor do the work. I am really getting into the SE shave. I like it.

I finished up with some alum which had a little burn. I have got to work on the technique. Finished up with some Nivea post balm and Stirling Noir aftershave.

Looking forward to some more SE shaves this month. Now if I can just pick out another SE razor and I'll have to squeeze in a Fatboy for February as well.

Y'all take care and have a great day!
