    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Goodfella/7 AM day 2
    Viking Sensitive SC
    Prep ASB
    Alt Innsbruck AS Splash

No complaints at all about this shave - it turned out great. The 7 AM performed perfectly and I needed just two passes to get rid of all that stubble. The Russian-made Viking Sensitive cream is so nice, in fact I find it even better than the Bulgarian version. The Prep gave me lots of extra cooling and soothing. I absolutely love the Alt Innsbruck’s scent which is so old school European.

    Have a nice Saturday!

A splendid Saturday shave and the wonderfully scented soap provided the usual great P&B slickness and post shave.
    Happy Shaving one and all.

Last of my somewhat "indulgent" shaves for a while. As I'm just trimming small areas on my upper cheeks and neck whilst growing my beard, I find I'm wasting gobs of lather in the process. When the warmer weather arrives, the beard will be gone and I'll be back to wanting gobs of lather. Oh I may revert once in a while as I do enjoy the process. But I'll mainly stay with the basics (Barbasol can, Skin Bracer or Proraso green) for the beard duration.

  12. Remarkable shave today
    Hot Water wash
Rubberset 49-4 original vintage boar knot
    Bombed(not in pic) Palmolive
    Stainless pet food bowl
    Gillette Fatboy (D3)(9)
    Persona lab (2)
    Proraso green aftershave
I, in search of the unique, discovered a vintage wonder. I decided to try my hand with this barber's painter from the past. I didn't recall ever trying this behemoth with a cream, and I happened to like the aroma of proraso green , while shifting to choose today's elements. Im currently out of the bigelow i normally mate with the green, so I used the palmolive. Bombed with 4 drops, and a two peanut stripe in my ss pet bowl, I started making lather with easily the longest brush I have. Surprisingly very creamy lather began to develop. Adding water a drop or two added at a time, it quickly became remarkable. Painting strokes more than swirls proved more productive. I was impressed with the softness of the old boar bristles. Three passes with the fatboy, each seemed super slick and audible enough to know the result would be better than everyday. Finished with the proraso green, the time and research I've endeavored made me think two things.
    1) I got a shave one could easily have achieved 50 years ago.
    2) I made a very good shave.
Hope y'all did as well, or better. 20190202_102857_resized.jpg
