Thanks Charlie! I never thought that I would be a straight razor shaver. I always thought that a barber should use them because they can be quite dangerous. It has been just over three months since I started using a straight razor and I am completely enjoying it. It truly has been a pleasant surprise for me. I have told my friends that I just started straight shaving and the response is quite varied to say the least. I feel sorry for any man who pays exorbitant prices for cartridge razors.
I do not recommend shaving before an audience, especially an audience given to frequent comments. I dealt with by letting my woman watch me shave one time, she did not make it through the first pass, 'too scary to watch' she said. I told her when I am shaving do not barge in, do not call me unless you want to sew up a cut on my face. It has worked pretty good so far. Doug, I always enjoy your pictures, especially the winter wonderland photos. Those Personna blades are my favorites. That does look like fun! Wow, what time is dinner served?
