Too showy. In my imaginary world, I’m a very modest, unassuming billionaire.

    Sunday shave
    Barbasol soothing aloe
    Frankenstein razor
Parker blade, 3rd shave with it
    Perfecto brush
    Alum
    Witch hazel
    Beard oil
3 pass all over dfs almost bbs.
Barb with a brush was a pleasant experience, shave was really nice slight warmth from the alum but it was gone in a few seconds. Best shave with this razor yet. [IMG]

If I'm taking a shower, and the plane runs into turbulence, I won't be a happy man, let me say that(oh, I just DID say that).

I call it an in-betweener smooth shave. Maybe I invented a new term, the IBS shave. What do you think guys?

I didn't know that aerodynamics was involved in shaving. However, jet skiing on the face is a given.

I am ok with it, it may confuse some folks though

Sometimes, you get a shave that isn't BBS, but you consider it is better than DFS. I always called it an in-betweener shave (IBS). Of course, it is purely subjective by the shaver.

IBS is also irritable bowel syndrome, so may confuse some folks.

    Good morning everone!
The Sunday shave and time to play with the V2.
    20190203_085454.jpg
Tried the smoothed out cap on the V2, not much difference. Very careful about the angle and watching close. I find that if I ride the cap, that is where the problen is. I have to lift the cap off my skin to make a smooth pass, not how I have done it with any other razor, till now, thus the issue. So I tried somthing odd, I took the blade out, lathered up and pretended to shaved. Not having anything to compare it on I also did it with some other Gem razors. The V2 holds or sticks to the skin, the others not much at all. Doing this on the old gord realy makes this stand out in comarison to the other razors.
So what makes my V2 stick to the skin when the others don't????
It has in the video/audio tape industry a "sticktion" problem.
I normally just the bake the tape and that cures it there. Here, not sure yet, nothing to bake the water out of.
So got out the G Bar and finished the job.
Oh and I tried the Witch Hazel, my wife keeps some in the bathroom, to clean up. Not gonna do that again! My skin will not take it, I'll stick with shaving lather.
I thought to myself... what do they do??? toughen up the skin with sand papper first??? Wow, must be nice.

Still thinking, not giving up just yet!
All other things worked as they should.
    Enjoy

Nice shave. After my month of Stirling and Arko, I will have to break out some Barbasol.

    February 3 SOTD:

    Razor: Gillette Fatboy
    Blade: Rapira Swedish Super Steel
    Brush: PAA Atomic Rocket
    Lather: Stirling Agar
    Aftershave: Stirling Agar
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Unscented PSB

My shave reports are going to get a bit boring this month, as I am about convinced you would have to try to have a bad shave with the Fatboy. A two pass DFS+, and to top it off, I used some Stirling Agar, which is just a terrific scent. What a way to get my morning going after I made some waffles for the kids. We are off to church in a few minutes, so this day is setting up to be great. I hope everyone has a great day! I thought I heard there was a football game on later today?

Is that the Hopps scent? What base is it, the CK1 or CK6?

It is a solvent scent for sure. Not quite full Hoppes, not quite ballistol. Almost as if you mxed them.
As far as the formula, it is the new version. Which ever one that happens to be.
