  11. I've had a couple of cheap boar brushes self-destruct. My daughter was going around in my side of the medicine cabinet, so I'm kind of wondering if she might have knocked it to the sink. Honestly, not a big deal.

I'm thinking about just regluing the knot, but I'm somewhat concerned that that bump in the middle means the glue bump for the knot broke and, if so, what the implications might be?

If nothing else, it's an interesting lesson for those who might wonder what is inside a VdH Boar brush. :)

  12. No ouch Danny, it's to mild a razor to bite or nip.
But the shave could be closer if it didn't drag.

  20. Nice read John, great shave too.
I fell in like with the Gem style razors when I used Gem Junior. I will say they are not for every one. For those who don't get good results from them I'd say a Gem G bar like I have used in the past few days is where I'd point them. It surprised me the first time I used it how solid but easy it shaves.
