For those that haven't tried it, Tabac is tobacco flower scented. It's a European man's scent that has been compared to the smell of your grandmothers purse. Being a hard puck soap it last a long time. It also gives great lather with little effort. I dribbled a little water on the puck to speed up loading, then got my moistened & shook out badger knot well impregnated with soap. Plenty of lather for three passes & clean up. The photo shows what was still in the knot when I'd finished shaving. This was I think my 3rd use of the Double Open Comb DE. Very impressed with the results. No nicks or cuts despite the scary big blade exposure. While I might not recommend a Fatip or Gillette NEW OC to a newbie, is one's giving great reduction with little learning curve. DFS+ = IBSS! Splash of Uber Manly tobacco and leather AS/Cologne to counter act the Grandma's Purse soap scent. Good Shaves Y'all!
Dug out the old Wilki soap from many many years ago that's been sitting dried out and neglected for ages. Still lathers so I'll use it up since thats my goal ...thin out the soaps. The Burma shave brush didn't shed today (for once) and kicked the lather out of the old soap. My gf complimented on how smooth I was today , although she prefers the Stetson AS . Can't win em all.
hello fello shavers, sundays here and page 34,todays shave is a new to me razor and soap..a friend sold me this mint gillette flat bottom new,or french service set as its called.made in england it is an open comb version of the flat bottom tech with a unique hollow handle..todays soap is wm neumann 1907 .the half pounder,lovely scent..the semogue 830 built an awesome lather and a new gsb blade delivered a nice smooth dfs+ shave. fine santal absolut to finish..awesome sunday shave on a cold day..have a great day everyone..

February 3rd Canadian NEW LC w Polsilver Omega Pro/Poculi Handle SV Colonia SS & AS Thayers Busy weekend! Not a lot of time to post beyond checking in occasionally the past few days. I’m at the airport now getting ready to board for Vancouver for a few days of meetings.
