Excellent shave to start the day! Three pass BBS. The tiniest bit of warmth from the alum on my adams apple.

    Have a great day![IMG]

  5. Terrific picture, Charlie! I have a slight confession to make. After seeing all of your wonderful shaves last month with the SRX, I decided I needed one. I am going to stick to my Focus this month, so I am keeping the Fatboy going, but next month, I am giving this a go.

  9. Thanks Jim. I'm glad to hear you picked up an SRX. I have more fun shaving with this razor than any other one in my rotation. You will have a blast with your focus, and I will follow it with great interest.

  10. You have it all wrong, Neal. Your technique was flawless. It's the razor that's the problem. Send it to me for inspection, and proper disposal. :happy097:

On the bright side, that's a great report on a bad shave. :happy088:

Alphabetical journey through soaps and creams
    Letter S

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: vintage Gillette Platinum Plus
    Razor: Schick G5
Brush: Satin Tip 'The Purest' synthetic
    Soap: Stirling Glacial Lemony Orange
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Glacial Lemony Orange aftershave

Cold but excellent shave with this setup. The G5 was smooth and comfortable and the Glacial Lemony Orange but typical Stirling with the cold blast. Thankfully we're almost to record highs here in the sunny South so the cold blast was a nice detour from normal. All went well.

    Have a great day!

  15. Good morning everyone! I just finished my morning shave. I am continuing my "firsts" theme for this month. Today, was my first straight shave this month with my Dovo Special. I am somewhat partial to this razor because it was my first straight. I also brought out my Old Spice for the first time since I became a member in Dec '18. My Pro 89 lathered my face with VDH luxury soap. Did WTG and ATG for IBSS+ with a careless nick under my nose. Lol! It wasn't bad so no worries. Result: Grade 93 = A- 20190206_063838.jpg
  16. Love the picture Charlie.
  17. Charlie is a master at subtle enabling.
  18. Great photo and setup, Perry! I always enjoy seeing the G5. That blue handle is too cool for school!

  19. Love the colorful photo Jim. Bravo.

The color of the G5 is just gorgeous. It is very warm here in Atlanta as well.

    Excellent shave and lineup.
  20. Thanks Clint!
