Aye Scott..When You Hit the Mark with a Sheffield Steel Blade its Truly Something to Behold... Lovely Razor by the Way..Doesnt Fit in to the Usual Rat Pack Jobs.. Billy..
Thanks, but I still have plenty of Rat Razors, in line to restore. Rat Razors have character, like a Mutt Dog. ..
Last day of the holiday and last day of the smiling razor theme. Today's Riga Razor has just a mild smile but takes and holds a wonderful edge.
6/8 DD Satinedge Tabac homemade brush Nice shave this morning. This DD came from a local barbershop that was in business when I was a kid. I have the original scales but they're badly warped. Have a good one.
A Founder’s Breakfast Stout sure does look good... it is morning... but it is a “breakfast” stout... can’t be wrong.
Today's shave was with a Newly Acquired, Restored, and Honed razor. I had a perfect 2 pass shave, like a hot knife through butter, that left me BDBS. Zero issues. This razor takes a very sharp and soft feeling edge, when finished on Welsh Slate Stones, and an Arkansas Surgical Black. Razor- Wm Elliot & Co. Germany Brush- JR#262 . Birdseye Maple/Ebony wood. WD Silvertip Badger knot. Soap- Eton College, by Taylor of Old Bond Street. Aftershave- Vintage Avon Spicy. Triple Crown Decanter My second favorite, behind Shulton Old Spice

1975 5/8 Russian Straight Had a very nice shave with this Russian Straight .She left me BBS in several passes .I do prefer my 1940 thru 1960 Russians Straights their steel seems to take a little smoother edge .I used the same finisher on the 1975 razor. The edge was good but not as comfortable as my older ones .
I love this thread, but it really makes me want to obtain more razors. Sent from my DROID Turbo using Tapatalk
St Joanis, soap was MdC lavender lathered with a TOBS silvertip. A little Harris Pink finished up and a spritz of MdC lavender EdT topped things off. Cheers, Steve
