  5. Sorry Joseph, you didn't pull to the Full Service Enabling Pumps...

There are several listing on the bay. Seems to be going for around a buck twenty for 1/4 ounce, and up.
  6. Fantastic shot Jim! Have you worked your way through all of the S's already ?
  7. On a kind of shaving related note : My brother, whom I've just converted to wet shaving, stopped in last night so i gave him a couple more razors to try out as well as some of my newly acquired Russian steel. Touched on subjects such as brush types , angle , pressure , soaps creams, you name it . Did a few sample lathers for him with different soaps and brushes . To say the least , that left a good feeling in me knowing there will be 1 less man blowing his hard earned dough on disposable carts. Not only are you saving mankind when you convert someone, you are in a way saving the planet from all the waste generated from disposable razors or cartridges. He was sharing his frustrations about how can 5 blades not give a close shave ? I almost fell off my chair. Just thought I'd share that anecdote with you guys . Carry on.

  12. Thanks Jim. I knew exactly what he was talking about because I pondered the same question for years with every new blade added. Twin then 3 , then 4 , then 5. After they ran out of ideas , some genius figured why not put a ball on it too. Gawd they are ruthless.

    Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
    Blackland Sabre
    Gem SS PFTE (5)
    Paladin Chief (26mm, Frigate Class)
Mike's Orange Cedar Wood, and Black Pepper
    Stirling Glacial Unscented PSB
    Fine Platinum

Starting today and in the coming weeks I'm going to be using my less often reached for software in an attempt to identify any that I can pass along out of my den. The first time I used the Mikes orange, cedar wood, and black pepper I wasn't thrilled with the scent. Today I gave it a good sousing and loaded quite heavily and was quite surprised to find the orange making more of an appearance. The lather was top notch, slick, shiny, and goopy. Once again the Sabre/gem ptfe combo was spot on and it made for a very pleasant, drama free, shave. Three passes and my face was as smooth as a baby's bottom. Finished off with some Stirling Glacial Unscented PSB and then a spray of Fine Platinum. I'm finding that a Stirling balm of some sort is making its way into each and every one of my shaves recently and will probably continue to be in the cold, dry winter months. Have a great weekend my friends!

  20. Good you were there to offer Actual Information. Otherwise he might have purchased a "tactical razor".

(Schwartz Tactical Razor $69.95) - No, Patrick. I see you thinking about it! You might be better with this one.

At $1600 an informed wet shaved Newbie could do better. That above piece has a (gasp!) liner lock.

I got into Wet Shaving with a RSO (Razor Shaped Object) and no friendly guidance. You're doing great showing him a better path.
