  1. Thank you Jason! It's the gear that made the look, not my camera skills. :innocent
I thought about that before I posted mine today.

Clint - when I found myself in your position I'd consider leaving a strategically placed, but easy to clean mess. She'll feel like you just can't do without her, though you really did try. If that doesn't work out remember I didn't suggest you do it. That's what I've done ;)

  2. Fatboy Shave #5

I can admit when i am wrong. My drag issue was because I had a heavy hand. There, I said it. The razor does look good after taking a little car wax to it though.

Today was the first shave with the Fatboy that didn't draw blood. NBBS with very little razor burn. Just focused on letting the weight of the razor do the work. Thanks for the help guys!

This thread has gotten personal today. Keep up the good work fending off blood clots @Terry and @wristwatchb. Happy anniversary @Paul76.

One of the reasons this shave was a good one for me was that my 3 year old son was watching as he played with his cars. He would ask a question about why I was making some weird face, then say, "Daddy, look at this trash truck! It just said it was stinky." Fun shave.

  4. Where do you find this stuff? Don't you have a house to build or something? :D
Here we go again picking on the otter. You really should give the otter a chance, Charlie. He's a nice fella. :)
I actually think I like the orange scent of Mike's ever so slightly better than what Stirling offers - and that's a pretty high bar. Stirling nails orange scents.

  9. February Favorites!!

    February 9

    Razor - 1959 (E4) Gillette Fatboy (9)
    Blade - rapira-platinum-lux.jpg (1)
    Soap - Stirling Mountain Man
    Brush - Jayaruh #46
    Post - Alum

Moving to another favorite razor, my birth year and quarter Fatboy. I chose the Rapira Platinum Lux blade to pair with the razor, Stirling Mountain Man and JR46 for the lather. Of course, the Fatty is set on "me". Wide open at 9. Three days of the Aristocrat has tamed the over the top razor burn I suffered and I'm ready to get back at it!

Three passes and all were very smooth, as is expected with this blade and razor. I finished with a BBS, very quiet alum, no issues, no blood, no problem, no worries, no way this was less than an excellent shave. I'm already anticipating to get to do it again tomorrow! I'm a bit behind on here after a busy day with the "day job". I'll get to reading and get caught up. Hope everyone had a great Saturday and that the rest of your weekend is awesome!
