my wife has her own bathroom.. and the drawers and cabinets are full of well wife stuff ..a fully stocked shave den is a must have ,and honestly a luxury many men didn t have in past years..
my quick grab shelf..the rest /most other stuff is put away.i change stuff out pretty frequently ..what i have used piles up ,so then i swap it out for a new week or so..keeps everything in a sort of rotation.. sorry, dust included..
I keep mine in a closet when there are not in rotation. I rotate mine with the seasons. Do you bloom the dip? Do you use a badger or boar? I hope your bride makes a quick and complete recovery. I hope to see you both at the next meet up. Happy Anniversary!

February Focus Brutalt Bra Barbersåpe~~Semogue 620~~Dubl Duck Goldedge 53/64~~Vintage Aqua Velva SR #22 Picked this DD up on the bay. Two bidders, got it for a $1 more than the other bidder. It was pretty dirty and there was a lot of green oxidation between the "ducks" and the "Goldedge" lettering. It cleaned up really well. There was an edge, so I worked it on the Naniwa 12K for a while along with some laps on my linen strop, loaded with CrOx. Good sharpness. The blade was really loose, so I made an attempt to use a ball peen hammer on an anvil and while I was able to tighten up the pivot pin, I succeeded in making the blade not want to fold straight into the scales. So, I am going to send it off to Glen @gssixgun and let a professional work on it. There is also a miniature chip (I needed a loupe to see it) near the toe of the blade. That's what happens when an amateur tries to perform the job of a professional. The blade folds easily enough, I just have to make sure it's centered. I also transferred the Brutalt Bra from its original tin, which was really dented up into my extra wooden bowl. Both are excruciatingly small and lather gets all over the place. One of my very first brushes, the Semogue 620 is still going strong and unlike my subsequent Semogue purchases, has not shed a single hair. Once again, I bowl-lathered. I seem to be doing that most of the time these days. This DD is the largest blade of my straights (now 7 ) and I fully expected some issues. There weren't any however, except for 3 small, straight, red marks (I guess we have to call them cuts) on my lower-right cheek, just above the jaw. No blood at all, and I am a "bleeder" when I cut myself. I think these scales are really beautiful. I am not sure what the material is. My skin wouldn't pass the cotton ball test, but the shave was a DFS all the way. Vintage Aqua Velva closed the deal. Now, I have to get in touch with Glen.
