Thanks Keith - I hadn’t either but the pinning, wedge and shape seem very factory like.

And that Williams Purist is always nice to see. :eatdrink047:

Sunday morning shave with the Robeson ShureEdge 7/8 that I honed for a friend here in town. It’s a nice one! Soap was the always-wonderful I Coloniali Mango Oil, brush was a Simpsons 57, and the AS balm was also I Coloniali.

    Cheers, Steve

Nice shave today. With the sub zero temps it's really dry and hard to keep your skin moisturized and Tabac works for me.

I have several straight razors. I don't know which one to use, because of the problems with my hands. Im thinking of buying a straight razor. https://www.supersafetyrazors.com/p...ip-type-straight-barber-razor-5-shark-blades/
That has replaceable blades. I know that they make several models but I was. able to get this link. Any way any suggestions besides just use what I have now. I shaved or I should say I tried to shave with my Grandfathers straight Razor once but I cut the daylights out of myself.

Old Sheffield blade on deck for tonight...
    Johnson Cast Steel
Not sure which Johnson, but by the looks of the scales, this was probably a razor to behold once.

What remains is a 5/8” almost wedge with a slight heel hook, a bent tip that needed to be ground off, wobbly in the scales, and some devil’s spit... what’s not to love?!?!!

Still gives a decent shave and I appreciate that. :shaver

What problems do you have with your hands?? This might dictate what you could use.

Wow. Very sorry to read of your misfortune. Having adopted straight razor shaving last year, I'm not sure I'd have the guts to undertake it with that kind of injury.

I've read that straight razor shaving maintains-enhances hand to eye coordination there could be be a therapeutic benefit, but I'd recommend you clear that with your physician first.

Definitely clear with a Doctor. But, you know you hands better than anyone else. If you feel confident, then go for it. If your hands shake or your hands are numb, at the time of the shave, then no, avoid doing Straight Shaves.

Had a great shave with this Swedish blade. The whiskers just disappeared. I was impressed with the edge she took off of AJ'S Welsh Slate.Very smooth yet very keen.

The scales were part of the reason I bought her .Also being a 5/8 blade sealed the deal .I am really impressed on how Klas Tornblom blades shave .Awesome steel and great grind .
