February 10 Parker SRX Rapira Stainless (1) 30 Day Crew LE figured maple handle w/APShaveCo Tuxedo knot Soap Commander Love Alum, Thayers WH, USB & Ermenegildo Zegna Uomo EDT 35th focus shave I opted for one pass and touch ups with the Sierra Romeo X ray this morning, easily removing two days of growth. One rookie mistake (a blade sit down error) resulted in a jawline boo boo that nobody but me would notice. This was my first shave with a Rapira Stainless blade. I'm still working through a Russian blade sampler from @NCoxSTL. It was a good blade, but possibly a bit less smooth than the Platinum Lux. I finished with a splash of cologne that I received in a product bag through work. I would describe it as a light and pleasant aqua scent that probably works best during the warmer months. I'm probably the only old coot in my neck of the woods rocking this juice today. From Fragrantica: I hope you're all having a restful Sunday with friends and loved ones.
I'm glad you didn't see a close up of my shelf, Gary. It's got a fair share of dust on it. It would be nice to have glass doors.
we are in a rooftop type condo on a steep hill.the wind blows dust like you wouldn t believe through here..tis why i keep most things in cupboards and drawers..
Terrific picture and set up, Charlie! I am definitely looking forward to using my Sierra Romeo X-ray.
So, to get into Fuzzy's good graces, all one must do, is to post one's cache of Williams. Well Fuzzy...here you go. And, BTW, my fuzzy friend, you'll notice that these are all vintage tallow pucks. ...just waiting to be "bloomed"
That's a beautiful Dubl Duck Goldedge razor, Joseph. The bolster detailing is magnificent. I would definitely send this one to Glen for a spa treatment. I believe the scale material is called Cracked Ice...love it. Starting to see a trend in DFS straight shaves coming from the Primo den.
Keith, the Robert Williams Purist is one of my favorites in your rotation. It just looks uber cool...dangerous in the hands of a novice but a precision tool in the hands of an expert Dark Sider.
Oh, yeah Charlie. Definitely a trend going on. The DD is boxed and ready for shipment to Glen tomorrow. BTW, I am not going back...
BEEEAUTIFULLLL set up, Jim. Once I put on my Bausch & Lombs, I could see that everything is perfectly color-coordinated. Congrats on scoring the Wild West Brushworks handle with Envy White two band badger knot.
The stand came with it and was made for the razor by the razor maker. It took its share of blood in the beginning. I bought it used and suspect it was sold due to its blood thirsty point. I use it only when I have time to pay extra attention to the point. It is my scariest looking razor, which of course makes it cool
