Ouch, that sounds terrible. I do not recommend using a straight (any open blade) if your hands are numb, feeling the blade is an important guide to the proper angle and pressure.
Pure luxury this dark rainy morning, CHV MK33, cream was AdP lathered with a Keyhole 4 in an Aesop bowl. AdP balm was a perfect match to finish things up. Cheers, Steve
North Korean Straight Razor MWF small homemade boar Clubman SR The bevel on this razor is......atrocious but none the less it shaves pretty fair. Have a good one.
Great shave, with a restored Wedge. Smooth 2 pass shave, that left me near BBS. No touch-up. Wonderfully built razor. Razor- C-Mon, by Carl Monkhouse Brush- JR#262. Ebony/Birdseye Maple. WD Silvertip Soap- TOBS Cedarwood Aftershave- Osage Rub
6/8 Hayashi 1074 Extra Best Had a wonderful shave with this Japanese razor .She shaves very similar to my Wacker Jungmeister. Both are fairly heavy blades. The whiskers were no where to be found.Very efficient blade.
Geneva (New York Steel) Pyramid 7 6/8 (there was a 7n narrow model). These pre merger Geneva razors are definitely worth obtaining. Think I paid $19 for this one. I used films to 3 micron then to coticule, and Thuringian. Feather SS is a lot of fun to use. I try to incorporate a pass with it as often as possible.
St Joanis ‘Le Triomphe’, soap was I Coloniali Mango Oil lathered with a trusty Tulip 2. A splash of harris Pink finished up, then a little later I added some I Coloniali balm. This is great combination. Cheers, Steve
5/8 72 Kiebutz Part of a seven day set . Thursday. Wish I had the rest of the set. This Solingen blade gave a great shave.
Perfectly smooth 2 pass shave, That left me BDBS. Great shaving razor. But its only downfall are the Scales, which are very slightly gassing out. So, I store this one away from other razors, and open, for now. Razor- Otto Deutsch's Hans. Brush- JR#262, Ebony/Birdseye Maple. WD Silvertip. Soap- TOBS Eton College. Aftershave- Pinaud Clubman.
