Three passes with the Dovo Best, then the Schick type D for a magnificent finish. Stirling R4L soap and splash made the experience that much better.

I also touched up the blade today with chromium oxide on balsa. My first time doing that. The difference isn't huge. Some places not at all. But on the really coarse areas, like around the chin, the improvement was noticeable.



Ahhhh, and good news from Glen last night - the Ralf Aust that I dropped has been nursed back to health. It will be home soon, plus two others from russianrazors.com that just needed honing. So I'll have some variety here soon.

Charlie, there have been times when I wake up from a late afternoon nap and it's dark outside-I look at myself and wonder why I went to bed in the same clothes I had on "yesterday". Then it all comes around-"yesterday" was just an hour after I began my nap. lol

been there, woke up after a nap, it was dark, said 7.30 .got up and started to get ready for work ,but it was 7.30 friday night...wasn t due back until monday morning..

Congrats on the haul, Patrick. @Linuxguile is the best! I love Proraso Green as well. I know others consider Clubman, etc to be the quintessential barbershop scent, but Proraso Green has that connection for me.

I did that once! Years ago, when I was still single, I had a nap after work. Woke up at 7:30 in a panic that it was 7:30am and I might be late for work. Jumped in the shower and then realized it was getting dark out, instead of lighter...yup, 7:30pm.

Thank you Jason. I only have the Fresh Vetiver from Fine. I never bought the Green Vetiver. I have often wondered about the difference between the two.
