  3. Thirty something years ago I was in the army. One day, at the end of the day, I went back to my baracks room and dozed off. I woke up, saw 6:05, and thought I had missed formation. Yikes! I flew out of bed, dressed in record time, and out the door. The CQ was still at his desk, and after a few seconds it sunk in that the CQ is always gone in the morning. To this day I keep my watch, phone, computer set for 24 hour time because of that.

  6. Thanks, Jason! The maker calls the brush "Sunrise Glow" but I like lemon drop better.

  8. Thanks. The knot came from an Omega 10029. It is a 23mm x 50mm loft boar knot. It holds a little less soap and is more stiff due to the shorter loft than the 10065 sized knots. I dropped it in an old Rubberset 300N handle that had one of the awful synthetics from years past. I had re-knotted two others (that I gifted to stingraysrock years ago).

  11. hello fello denizens,,shave time again..tried out the "frankenrazor" today..u.s new sc head with a prewar cap and handle..cap was measured meticulously with digital calipers before hand and they are the same other than new cap has a single locating pin, the prewar dual pins.the fat handle fits the small hole in the new sc baseplate.loaded a gsb..the rr barrel 24 finest badger built an awesome lpl oud lather in the captains copper bowl..took my time, fantastic 2 pass combination shave with minor pick ups.a smooth bbs was the prize ..went with the alum just to see and no drama..cold water rinse ,touch of wood and spice balm and armani oud to finish..awesome..razor felt and shaved like my rfb..more fun than a bent prewar. have a great day everyone..gary.. 20190212_122147.jpg

  16. thank you danny, definitely a great shave..no real difference than a sc really, just nickel and gold..my original cap and handle were junk.somehow the baseplate remained fully plated and blemish free.

  18. I don't know whether to feel better about myself or worry about you guys! :p

Robert, I keep my Casio digital watch set to military time, but I don't wear it to bed. I can usually see the time on my bedside alarm clock without my glasses (it's not set to military time and I never set the alarm), but I totally missed it last night. I awoke feeling really rested, and my brain told me it was morning. The clincher was that we have several lights on timers that turn on each morning. Those were the same lights that were still turned on last night when I awoke. I finally saw the time on the microwave and figured things out. I'm living proof that someone with more than one watch never really knows the time. :D
  19. Good picture and setup Jason. I don't care what anybody else says, I believe you.
