  2. Are you speaking of the Whipped Dog HM knot, Jim? I bashed mine out of the stock handle and set it to 15mm deep in another handle. Made a world of difference, from floppy to enough backbone.

  3. Yes I did. It went well.

  4. But that;s weird...it went out of your way to Denver. Should have been able to go straight across to Minneapolis.

  7. Oh....well, this explains this. Denver seems to be the "Atlanta" of the West.

  8. I got the 24mm. I bought it when I bought Neal's knot after losing that bet with him last year, so I have had it for a few months. It's a good brush. I would put it between the Tuxedo and the Cashmere for softness of bristles and for backbone, which gives it plenty of both. The flat top seems to be able to cover a wider area than the equivalent bulb shape without being floppy.

  9. Good evening guys! I was going to wait until tomorrow morning to shave, but I decided to do it now, because I am pulling jury duty tomorrow and I didn't want to rush my shave. For tonight's shave, I decided to use my faithful Dovo shavette with my long Dovo blade. It was like visiting an old friend. I used my Rockwell synthetic brush and lathered my face with Stirling Sandpiper soap. I have to say that I am liking the nice, slick lather. My two pass shave was superb w/o any blood loss or irritation. Oh yes, I forgot it is my "firsts" theme. Well, it is the first time that I used my entire shave gear during a month. I believe it is a significant part of my shave journey because I can adapt to any razor that I select on any given day. Result Grade 98 = A+ Have a good night fellas!

  13. Yes, the WD HM knot. It fell out of the handle after a couple of uses, and I drilled the handle deeper to set it down a bit. It definitely helped, but it is still floppy. The worst part is that it tends to birds nest on me when face lathering. If I use a light touch, it isn't bad, but with just a bit more backbone, I don't think that would be a problem.

  14. Glad you enjoyed the Route 66 Nirav. I always pair that soap with Clubman.

No optional Furry Face Policy? When I was in school I remember several teachers with facial hair. For some reason Ladies don't take "Nice mustache" as a compliment.

Thanks for that Danny! I'll make the short drive to BB&B and see if they keep them on the shelf. The same shopping center also has Marshalls, Ross, and Target. Sometimes they have men's shave supplies at a discount.

Forty millimeters? That 's only like an inch and a half.
Oh centimeters. Still less than 16 inches.
Make sure you close the door. Some of that cold air keeps drafting this way. Rather not have to wear socks with my sandals. I was in shorts and a tee shirt one day last week!
