  1. hello fello shavers, hump ,snow wednesday shave,,something special today ,just arrived new to me first time with a 1921 gold new improved .#364852A,decent shape ,plating intact..gsb blade, locked and loaded.,rr barrel badger created a fantastic doppelganger black lather in the captains copper bowl, took my time and got a nice smooth dfs with no drama..handle is a little shorter than i am used to but great balance ,easy enough to find the spot.finish with the black splash/cologne.awesome shave. razor is a little older than the era i am into but it will have a good home here..special shave status due to the clean original gold plating..have a great day everyone, probably back at work tomorrow.. 20190213_143810.jpg

  2. Thank you Clint and Andrew! Patrick... thanks but gonna have to talk.

There's something worse than sock and sandals (established 1999).
I give you Texas style sandals. Without socks of course.

On the upside that is a decent soap. Lots of glycerin makes it glide. Did you get the Deluxe kit with the blue & green bowl?

  5. Wednesday morning February 13 - February shave #5...

Rockwell 6s on plate 4/ Sharp Star (2)
    Simpsons CH2 Chubby Synthetic Bristles
Stirling Port au Prince soap sample
Alum and TSD Vanilla milk aftershave

Rather rough shave today. Lot of tugging blade feel for part of the first pass. Then I flipped the razor over and everything was smooth again using the other side of the blade... I paid close attention to which side of the razor I used for the rest of the shave, then binned the blade. I must say I haven't had impressive results from this tuck of Sharp Stars I tried. Based on my trial sample, I certainly wouldn't buy more.

Alum was quiet though, and the TSD Vanilla milk aftershave provided a pleasant finish.

Hope everyone is getting over the hump in style this week!

  11. Well 225 post that I am not going to get through today. Long day today, longer day tomorrow. This mornings shave was normal with everything I did yesterday. Thursday is going to be a different day, going to have to be up really early and get going really quickly. So instead of the normal, always, never changed, ever morning shave, guess I'll shave tonight. Considering tomorrow's going to be a wicked day think I'll change it up a bit.

My Starling V2 Razer has turned out to be a magnificent shaver. Rivaling my MMOC with closeness. The strange thing about this razor is that it doesn't pull, it doesn't tug, but man doesn't it shave close.
So for a one-off night shave for a rough today and tough tomorrow, we'll do it with this gear and software.
    Enjoy

Cleaned driveway out twice already, but I'm going to muster up the energy to shave now . This combo should be relaxing.
