There really wasn't much to say about the shave this morning. It was a tired blade with a marginal lather.

Good enough, but not much better.

I enjoyed an early morning three-passer and a full day of running all over town with my sweet Bride on house-related stuff.

I hope you all had a fantastic Wednesday!

  3. That was a nice find Gary.

Never seen Texas sandals before lol, The VDH coming is just the soap. Mentioned i never tried it and my good friend / enabler @wchnu said there was a cake on its way. Thats kinda how i got started / hooked on SE shaving . Thanks Fuzzy btw!
Had to be the blade. Havent loaded a blade in my Rockwell that didnt shave good yet. Maybe you just need some Russian steel in that razor.

Glad you got it ironed out Terry!

Great shave Charlie . Hows the new Den coming along?
  5. Thanks Patrick. We're making really good progress. The cabinets are set, and the tile is being installed now. Measured the cabinets for counter tops earlier this week, and the painters are beginning. We're about two weeks or so away from plumbing fixtures being installed.

A late post for a relatively early shave. Two passes, DFS, and smelled great. Not much else to report. I do like these blades. I may be on the search for a few more. I hope everyone had a great day!

  13. Nice hump day shave and photo, Andrew. Logan is quite the debonair young man! He's livin' large dining on McNuggets, fries, and juice. Honey Mustard or Creamy Ranch dipping sauce?

    Hipster scent, eh?

  14. thank you Patrick, makes me wonder where it was stored for 98 years..
  15. Very cool old school shave and photo this morning, Jason. I really like the tight grain and shape of the Sapele brush handle. I bet an hour outside in -12C with a snow shovel this morning got your motor running! We had sun and a high of 6C in my neck of the woods today. Just cool enough outside to enjoy a spot of Four Roses Single Barrel when I got home. ;)
  16. Somebody keeping it safe just for you.
  17. Charlie, both the shave gear and the comic strip are cool, but the snowmen are cold.

  18. Thanks gentleman, it seems to be running quite smooth now. Still amazed at how such a little change makes such a big difference in performance.

  20. Thanks Joe. It was a good shave today, but I should have stopped at two passes. Three ATG passes on my neck was a bit much. The nice thing about the SRX is that it opens up for easy cleaning. I went at it today with a soft tooth brush and hand soap before taking the photo.

OK, let's take a break from winter...
