Thanks. I’m not selling stuff. I teach all day technical classes to our accounts and then off to the next city. I head home after today’s meeting and will get home after midnight. I can’t wait
February 14th Schick G4 w Personna (3) Fine L’Orange Noir SS Stirling Finest/ Maple handle Thayers Stirling Arkadia AS Got in a small order yesterday. One of the vendors I’ve used for a few years in Canada is closing out, and I got this Arkadia splash, a Fine Fresh Vetiver (in the old bottle, clearing out old stock I guess) and a Stirling Shampoo Bar at a ‘worth trying’ price. Whipped up a great lather with this fragrant soap and good knot, and had 3 routinely excellent passes. Finished with the Arkadia, another quality Terre d’Hermes dupe. Over the past year or so, I’d say that this L’Orange Noir Hermes dupe has grown on me as much or more than any other scent (and for performance, actually). It’s in the top tier of my scents, if not the very top. Not necessarily shaving related- the Stirling (Baker Street) Shampoo Bar was excellent. Well worth trying if you place a Stirling order. Have a great day, all!
Very nice, Jason! I agree that Arkadia is a wonderful scent. Congrats on getting the older bottle of Fresh Vetiver. I'm convinced the newer bottles are weaker in scent and made with more alcohol. The formula is different and the price went up. That's why I stockpiled as much older generation American Blend that I could find. Also, I tried a shampoo bar once from Stirling (rosemary mint scent) and really enjoyed it. Quality stuff as you'd expect from them. Anyway, great shave! You're making me want to get some Arkadia stuff.
Its like the sun shining on the back of a superhero! Thank you, Brian! Sounds like a great day, Charlie! Beauty of a photo, Jim! Nothing wrong with the ole Super Speeds! Great shave and photo Perry! Sound like you are in for a great night and long weekend!! Cool photo, Jim! Happy Anniversary!! Awesome shave Brian, and safe travels tonight! Masterful enabling, Jason! Great photo too!
SOTD February 14th EDRIO #22 Schick "Ladies Fashion Razor" Type H "The Hussy" Personna (2) JR #352 (30mm, Cruiser Class) Stirling Hot Apple Cider soap Stirling Bay Rum PSB Jason @jtspartan and his 30mm SynBad brush was making me real jealous. So I commissioned a handle from Jim @Jayaruh and sent off for a 30mm SynBad. Both the knot and the handle arrived on Monday so I set the knot with silicone and let it set for a couple of days to cure. First use of #352 today! This brush is pillowy soft and doesn't have a lot of backbone and splays fairly easily (perhaps I should have set the knot a little deeper) but man does it make a mean lather. The knot is packed extra densely with fibers and was churning out custard like lather in no time flat. A little bit of fine tuning had that custard transformed into the slicker-then-snot super goop that Stirling is capable of. With a first class lather applied to my face I brought The Hussy into play. This razor is so smooth and sets the angle perfectly for you when you "ride the hump". Three passes later the baby was in the house and without one iota of irritation to speak of. I finished with some Stirling Bay Rum PSB and am smooth and smelling good! Have a great day my friends!
