A special setup for a special day. Razor: the psycho tech Blade: the spoiler Brush: semogue 830 Soap: tobacco Post: rose witch hazel A/s: purros Let’s be honest, sometimes our wives drive us crazy.. and for the singles, you have to be a little nutty to get married.. hence the psycho tech.. the semogue 830 to keep with the color theme of the day. The rose witch hazel to represent the flower of love and the tobacco to represent the chill, relax day I plan to have. And finally the spoiler blade... in hopes nothing goes wrong for those of you that have special plans.. HAPPY VALENTINES DAY
SOTD February 14th EDRIO #22 Schick "Ladies Fashion Razor" Type H "The Hussy" Personna (2) JR #352 (30mm, Cruiser Class) Stirling Hot Apple Cider soap Stirling Bay Rum PSB Jason @jtspartan and his 30mm SynBad brush was making me real jealous. So I commissioned a handle from Jim @Jayaruh and sent off for a 30mm SynBad. Both the knot and the handle arrived on Monday so I set the knot with silicone and let it set for a couple of days to cure. First use of #352 today! This brush is pillowy soft and doesn't have a lot of backbone and splays fairly easily (perhaps I should have set the knot a little deeper) but man does it make a mean lather. The knot is packed extra densely with fibers and was churning out custard like lather in no time flat. A little bit of fine tuning had that custard transformed into the slicker-then-snot super goop that Stirling is capable of. With a first class lather applied to my face I brought The Hussy into play. This razor is so smooth and sets the angle perfectly for you when you "ride the hump". Three passes later the baby was in the house and without one iota of irritation to speak of. I finished with some Stirling Bay Rum PSB and am smooth and smelling good! Have a great day my friends!
Schick G4/Route 66 razor Personna 74 blade (day 7) Burma Shave Boar brush Stirling MITA SS Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe Clubman Reserve Brandy Spice A/S Resuming the Shave of the Week (gotta have a Williams Wednesday!) and all went very well. The little Burma Shave boar brush is a killer. Just the right amount of backbone for me and really soft tip. Like it lots. My face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.
The Marvel cap on the Conrad-Barbasol NFH plate transforms an overly mild shaver into a real winner. Glad I have the extra Marvel cap,, stock cap is going in a drawer. PolSilver (1).
Glad you asked. The cast Zamak Marvel guard plate is not what you'd call a paragon of precision. I sent Fine a photo of the uneven clamping of my head and they immediately sent me another one. The second one was a bit better. I don't think the lack of precision impacts the shave much as it's a pretty smooth shaver by everyone's review that I've seen.
