I have a WWB brush as well. He turns out some very nice brushes.

Thanks, Charlie. I'm trying to follow a 'one out, one in' model, so I am moving along some gear to make room for new stuff.
You have build a very impressive den, Jim. Another great looking combo.
Great combo and write up. I'm a big fan of the simple, humble Flare Tip.
Love the scent of SDM! It was a real bummer to me when I realized I was getting irritated by it. I might have another GIT dupe inbound...
Very well stated, Jim. I should have expressed similar thoughts about my beautiful wife myself this morning. Valentines Day in Vegas? Outstanding!
    Safe travels, again, tonight Brian!
Fantastic! Almost 10 lbs? Whew. Congrats to all, Terry!
I believe mine is set at 14mm, Andrew. It seems to be the right depth, but is definitely a soft, pillowy knot regardless!
Which Floid do you prefer, Robert- The regular Spanish Vigorosio, or that Genuine Italian version?
Enjoy the trip, Clint! Excellent 'send off' photo, as well.
    Enjoy school today, part deux!

Thanks Jason, I had Jim drill the socket to 15mm I believe. For reference a Chubby 2 Synthetic is much stiffer.

Too bad that company is Canadian. They can't ship the aftershaves to the US or I might buy some of those closeouts!

    Thanks, Jason!

Thanks Andrew. We had fun today with the teachers and staff. They are a sweet bunch of dedicated folks.
Sounds like a good plan, Jason. I'm nearly in the same boat on managing my shaving inventory.

I haven't tried the Italian version, but I love the scent of the Spanish ones. That, and I love my menthol.

I am contemplating doing a "titanic" on this soap/as combo. I like it enough, good lather, scent is a dupe
of 4711, but does it rank right up there with my top-shelf gear? Nope.
Did a little research on the Wade & Butcher. Quite a storied history for a company that is almost 200 years old.
I am also debating replacing the scales. You can see a chip above the pivot pin.
The blade is mos def worth preserving. Must mull...:signs002:
Glen has my DD and I am excited to get that back into my stable.
15 laps on the poly strop, followed by 25 laps on the linen (no abrasive) and finally
    50 laps on the leather.
I have to ask myself, whether I would get better shaves if I were to shave every other day:signs002:
Fact is, I like shaving. :) so, we may never know.
Taj Mistura/Aesop SS bowl = quality lather, no two ways about it.
Awkward set down on my neck left a mark. :signs131:
    No blood...:signs136:
    DFS in 2+ passes.
Double splash of the Arlington. Gotta make it disappear.:innocent
Happy Valentine's Day to all of the lovely and understanding women in our lives.

Good technique to use for a Focus. There are several of us Lefties around. We generally have an easier time of switching off because we've been dealing with a Right handed world all this time. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Thanks Clint! You be safe traveling and enjoy your time with your daughter. Hope the climate cooperates for a smooth flight.

Thanks Perry! The soap is good, maybe not the best but considering the retail price and ease of lathering I'd recommend for Newb to Veteran.

I limited myself to one glazed yeast raised donut. None of the school ladies hosting The Event knew how to make coffee. I thought school employees were fueled by caffeine else how do they keep up with the kids?

Thanks Andrew. Did you mean the soap & AS, hardware, or tasty pastry?

Thanks Jason! Since my daughter got a sideways and upward promotion (different but bigger store/same job title) she's been working more closing time to opening time shifts. Inventory manager in charge of stocking crew and it's easier if she doesn't have customers underfoot. That put me in a weirded out schedule but we're adapting and overcoming the obstacles. I think I know how wives of shift workers feel.

Right you are John. I've owned another VDH brush, though it was new when I got it. As I added better (or different) brushes it got less use. Don't know if it's the bristles drying out, or the bristle to glue puck interface, but that first one got lonely and started dropping bits. When I saw this one for a buck I got sentimental about the other that I'd PIFed to a friend. Next time I order a batch of knots it'll get something special.
