Good morning everyone! I just had an awesome shave this morning. I brought out my trusty Rockwell 6C to give me a great BBS shave. I used my Rockwell synthetic to lather on Stirling's Sandpiper scent. I only needed two passes, but decided to do an extra pass. There wasn't any blood-letting or irritation. I really "rocked" it. I normally don't plug a razor, but Rockwell 6C does an excellent job. The design makes it difficult to cut yourself and you get a gauranteed great shave. Make it an awesome day guys!
February 15th Razor: Timeless Bronze SB Blade: GSB (3) Brush: Grizzly Bay Constitution Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated Soap: CC Bay Rum Stirling Bay Rum witch hazel PAA Star Jelly unscented AS: CC Cat O' Ninetails Good morning! Every Damn Soap I Own is complete! It's been a fun and enlightening journey through all my soaps and I see myself doing this again. Captain's Choice Bay Rum is the official end of EDSIO and the start of a Bay Rum run for the rest of the month. Excellent three pass shave. As I type this I realize that I forgot the alum. I would be surprised if it sparked anywhere this morning. Have a great Friday! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
I only wish, just having my morning coffee then off to get parts for my daughters car. Hopefully I get them installed tonight after she comes home. Thanks Jim.
SOTD February 15, 2019 Alphabetical journey through soaps and creams Fat Friday Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap Blade: Gillette Platinum Plus Razor: Schick G4 '66' Brush: Omega 10049 boar Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat Post: Witch hazel, Fine American Blend aftershave Top notch shave. Every aspect was enjoyable - the lather, the Schick 66, the Fine finish. Very comfortable shave. I remembered the Schick angle with no problems and I think shaving with the PAL improved my technique because of the concentration level on keeping my wrists locked when using the PAL. Regardless, a marvelous shave today. Wonderful dinner last night. A meeting with my colleagues this morning (that will actually be productive and not a waste of time) then we're hitting the road to the Gulf Coast for the long weekend. Can't wait. Enjoy your day!
Nice shave! Congrats on making it through EDSIO! I have about five soaps left. Then I'm either going to start working on samples and finishing those off or I might use The Fat for the rest of February. We'll see. Anyway, terrific photo and shave, Jim!
Thank you, Patrick. It's hard to believe I'm on my 40th shave with the shavette. I'm getting some really good and consistent shaves with it. Have a great day, my friend!
Congrats, Joe, on a fantastic shave. I'm itchin' to try a DE again soon. I haven't used one since December. Enjoy your day with the kids.
Stunning photo, Jim. You have some wonderful gear. It has been fun following your march through all your soaps. What is your next focus?
Patrick, are you a full-time mechanic? I know you've spoken of repairing different vehicles and even a snowmobile. Just wondering if it is your job or just a talent/interest you have.
Awesome shave, veeeery short work day, and off to the Gulf Coast! It doesn't seem fair that you live within a few hours of the world's most beautiful beaches (and visit them often) while some of our friends are buried in snow and ice. Try to put those thoughts aside and enjoy your weekend. Don't forget to pack socks and sandals.
