Sorry Joseph , but your post got me laughing. I sure dont miss the hotels anymore , been there, done that. Never tried the Weishi, but i like your description just the same .

That....reminds me of a story. Used a whole 5 pack of disposables one time on the road, and well to be brief the first shave never got finished, i wasted over an hour , and swore someday I'd find a better way. I bought them at the only drugstore in the small town i was staying in so i had no choice. Needless to say i went unshaven for the rest of the week. When i got back home i chewed up 2 Jillette 5 blade carts trying to find skin again. God bless the enablers for helping me to shave the way i do today!

 

at the end of my cart days i hated shaving so much i grew a beard for a over year.i looked like a grey grizzly adams..after starting with de around august 2016 i joined here jan 2017 and everything shaving has gone upwards since.will always be thankful to all of you fine gentlemen who helped me along the way..

 

is that what they call them today sir.have a great morning....

 

i like to shave in the evening, i can play with the toys then,i also have time to post the shave here..when i do shave in the morning its great as well but simplified, a good cream ,synth brush and a tech or superspeed i can drive without issues..taking my time in the evenings and experimenting makes the morning quick shaves possible for me..
@RyX said---Gary - don't you have several Tabac products? I have paired the soap with Clubman S.R. & Old Spice, but I like it enough I'd consider Tabac post shave products. It's Old School European that younger guys might not get.
i have a few tabac products i use and enjoy, shower soap, deodorant,a/s ,cologne and of course the shave soap..but i rarely leave the house..

Too me, it really comes down to posh shave feel. In this aspect, I find the CK6 base to be better, as it is one of the soaps I don't use a PSB with. However, I really like Stirling PSB, so a little application negates this advantage. I certainly won't fault someone for saying it is a big step up, as to some this might be a bigger deal. But, I don't think I will necessarily order the new base with my next order.

A nice early morning shave with the Fatboy and some Stirling Sandalwood. This a great Saturday morning combination. Since I am posting a bit later, I got my daughter to help with the photo, so the filter is her selection. I hope everyone has a great day!
