  1. That place is still off limits to me too Rick, its like i have purse phobia.
  2. Thanks Jim. The Weishi is cheap, but close your eyes and it is a Wolf(man) in Sheep's clothing.
  3. Glad to brighten your day, Patrick. ;)
  4. Thank you, Clint!
  5. For me it was $28+tax per week for carts. Thats a pack of 4. Now it costs 10-15 cents a blade per week. My beard tore those things up like kleenex at a snot party.
  6. February Favorites

Proraso Single Blade Cypress & Vetyver cream sample
T-400 Badger brush, Suribachi bowl & cool water
Gillette Red Tip, Gillette Green Permasharp blade
Proraso Moisturizing & Nourishing Sandalwood AS
SOTD 02162019 Proraso Cypress & Vetyver.gif Can a new to me sample be a favorite? I did like the scent though it was on the light side. The cream did generate a decent lather thanks to a fat badger knot. Plenty of slick and residual slip from the Single Blade base, too. Not sure I'd want to invest in the big ole bag of product, but that's what trying a sample size is all about. Thanks to Zachary @KUSTOM for sharing so I could try it out! Congrats to Neal @NCoxSTL on securing his own Red Tip with a case in great condition. Joseph @Primotenore seems firmly into The Dark Side camp and has made his choice to let a few go. Got a great lather, smooth beard reduction, and finished with a splash of not too far off finishing scent from another Proraso post shave product. Fixing to join some family at Buffalo Wild Wings for a supper and nephew's B-day party. I've only had coffee so far today, so I plan to attempt to eat my fill of greasy spicy chicken bits.
    Good Shaves Y'all!
  7. You’re on a roll. I need to break out my Wild West brush when I get back home.

  8. @RyX, Rick, Great report. Enjoy your time with your family. Don't forget to bring the antacids!
  9. You'll be the smoothest and best smelling fella at the party Rick! Awesome shave
  10. Guys , I have a dilema. I just recieved 3 1/2 lbs of SE razors from @John Ruschmeyer after posting awhile back that if he didnt want them , I would take them off his hands . Well....I took them off his hands and cant decide which to use first. Any help appreciated .
Also just wanted to reinforce the generous nature of so many people like John on this forum who give guys like me the opportunity to shave with razors that i never dreamed I'd own . Here's to John, a damn fine fellow and a generous soul. Thanks John. 20190216_185105.jpg
  11. Really terrific photo and shave, Rick! Enjoy the party. I like Buffalo Wild Wings pretty well but don't go as much now as I did.
  12. Wow - what a score, Patrick! I'd start with the Featherweight (white handle in the center of the photo). Then I'd graduate to the Bullet Tip (I think that's one of those) on the right of the photo and the G-Bar on the left of the photo. Those three will give you a terrific introduction to the GEM-style razors. The open comb Micromatics are superb and highly efficient razors. Must be careful with those!
  13. Excellent post and shave Rick.

  19. Thank you guys. The weather was perfect for the hike. It’s hard to believe such a hike is right in the city. The views made it worth the effort. It would have been much easier without my hangover from last night.
