  5. Why again do we recommend mild razors to newbies?

    Answer: We don't.

  6. Also @Primotenore

Weishi is a clone of the classic Gilettes. I also think it would be fine as a one and only.

Late afternoon shave today before going out for dinner with my lovely wife. Can’t have a Favourites focus without breaking out the MonoBilt. The unobtanium SP blue was already loaded. Close shave, with 2 chin weepers. Great soap, great knot, great shaver.

    Have a great night, all!

  8. I don't do the fire hot ones Joe, prefer garlic Parmesan. The fried mushrooms were good, too!
Defiantly was Patrick. Nephew and his buddies are a bunch of bearded hipster looking dudes. One day when they grow up, I'll be the Go To Guy to set them up with vintage shave gear.

Thanks Perry! Remember when chicken wings were a less desirable choice cut? Those guys have turned them into premium priced food.

  14. Thank you Clint! Beautiful photo of the clear sky. Is the area High Desert?

Nelson - I'd suspect the Stirling might be Imperial threads, the Merkur - Metric. Visit Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace Hardware in the fasteners department. Should have a thread typing set to be sure what you have & need.

Thanks Charlie! We waited almost 40 minutes for enough of the invited to show up before they'd push some tables together. Too many TV's on too many different channels for my liking, but the Mountain Dew on tap was good. Had a great time! The nephew's peers have lots of kids, and his wife's folks made it. If it wasn't so noisy we'd have had great conversation.

That No Shave hair remover is on all the shelves around here. I gather is preferred by African-American men over blades for hair reduction. Amazon has
    all the different variations.

  16. The safety bar on the Merkur appears to be stationary. Therefore I can’t use the new one. That’s why I think I need a handle, to screw the “two piece” aggressive set up I bought from Stirling. Unless the safety bar on the Merkur unscrews?

Looked like a beautiful hike today, Clint. We chose Thai tonight!
That is quite the SE haul, Patrick. Congrats!
Sounds like a nice shave, Danny. Interesting pic of the store- we don’t have any of those products on the shelves around here.
