1. A lot of Bokers are very hollow ground and thin .Remember do not use a lot of pressure when honing .

  3. very nice razor sir..
  4. That's an occupational hazard for sure. Just keep buying her little trinkets from time to time. It works...at least in my case. I have several Bokors, BTW and they are excellent razors.
  5. Congratulations on your SR.

Looking back, there is no one SR or DE/SE razor that I bought in which I have any regret. Didn't pay much except for a couple of rare ones, a Wade and Butcher "improved tang" and a 15/16 #49 Herder with custom scales. Probably only expensive to me...LOL!!
  6. I wouldn't count on it. I am, without a doubt, cheap. I may be the only one who is saving money with DE and straight razors.

  7. Keep saying that. Let's see how much you are saving, a year from now. :D

  8. Ha ha ha. I have been using DE razors for three or four years now. I am a very budget minded person.

  11. Yeah, I sure do like the straight razors. But I will still keep it limited. I spent a lot of years working two jobs to provide for the family. The habits learned from that experience are hard to leave behind.

  12. There are no vintage razors, DE, SE, or SR that I want or need at present. Each of us as a different motivation in this hobby. What I now enjoy is helping others. That can be a waste of time as you never hear from them after the OP...LOL!!
