I'm not sure I understood your 30 day rule....do you normally only shave every 30 days, and use a shavette to do it? Or do you use a shavette every 30th day ?
I like that Eleven did Spearmint instead of just regular Peppermint. It smells like Double Mint Gum and is a bit different from most Mint scents.
Haverford is a wonderful scent and a swell choice for a 1st Stirling. Plenty of top notch artisans out there, but when it comes to value/quality Stirling comes highly recommended by many people.
Monday SOTN Repeat ER-1914 tonight and very enjoyable yet again. I can see why @jimjo1031 keeps his near and dear to him. They definitely don't get the same love in the forums as the Damaskeene's do. I don't have to make as many passes around my chin as with most other razors. The Col Conk Bay Rum lathered beautifully with the AP Shave Co Synbad brush. The Cucumber Thayer's was a refreshing change and I am off to bed feeling smooth and smelling great. Cheers all! Josh Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk
He was focusing on using his shavette as his only razor for 30 days. It's a practice that many use so they can master a specific tool/s.
There is a article in the "shave school section "... It is trying out one razor and one type of blade etc until you feel acomplished and can move on to a different blade or soap etc...it works very well. Robert.
February Favorites!! February 18 - Moon Soap Review #2 Razor - Feather DX Pain Stick Blade - Soap - Moon Old School Tallow Shave Soap Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Silvertip Post - Alum Second night with the Moon Old School Soap, this time with a badger brush. I added my notes to the review in the Soap Forum so you can check that out if you'd like. I decided to keep that thread going with the various brushes as it isn't that much new info to add if everything works the way it should. As for this report, I'll mention that tonight's shave with the DX was another marvelous one. I'm thinking I've found my favorite pain stick since acquiring this one. It really is easy to use, well balanced and very effective. I'll have to play with my other ones a bit to verify my order of preference, but for now this one is on top. No issues with the shave, I have a day off tomorrow though lots of errands etc. to run, but it will be nice to be away from retail for a day. Hope your week is off to a great start!
Razor - Canadian tech Blade - personna Brush - custom cedar with synthetic Soap - PAA first due A/S- lime sec Fantastic shave. The PAA soap is probably the best soap I’ve tried to date. The lather is sooooo freakin creamy and a little goes a long way. I had so much lather I had to take some out of the brush .
