Four passes! A great looking combo- That lemon drop looks better every day, Jim.
If you need help finding some shaving products in stores or online, there are one or two folks on here who may be able to help, Carl!
I have a ‘favourites rotation’ for this month as well, John. Use it all!
The easy decision for me would be Palmolive vs Arko, though, as I easily prefer Palmolive.
Agree on the 24mm Stirling Finest. Excellent knot. Best deal in knots? That one or a large Omega Pro,imho.
Some very unique gear, Robert. Very cool.
Yup, I had the rugby pants. With Adidas Stan Smith shoes. Grade 8 as I recall, and I think I might have worn a Mac jacket with them. Another one of the countless reasons why I was single through much of high school...
Love the steel on that blade, Keith. Very nice!
St Petes has so many fine blades...
Did you ever finish your Palmolive stick off? How many shaves?

Roughly how many shaves do you get from a can Chris?

Those Stan Smiths would fetch a good dollar these days Jason.

    February 18 - Moon Soap Review #2

Razor - Feather DX Pain Stick
    Blade - [IMG]
Soap - Moon Old School Tallow Shave Soap
Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Silvertip
    Post - Alum

Second night with the Moon Old School Soap, this time with a badger brush. I added my notes to the review in the Soap Forum so you can check that out if you'd like. I decided to keep that thread going with the various brushes as it isn't that much new info to add if everything works the way it should. As for this report, I'll mention that tonight's shave with the DX was another marvelous one. I'm thinking I've found my favorite pain stick since acquiring this one. It really is easy to use, well balanced and very effective. I'll have to play with my other ones a bit to verify my order of preference, but for now this one is on top.

No issues with the shave, I have a day off tomorrow though lots of errands etc. to run, but it will be nice to be away from retail for a day. Hope your week is off to a great start!

    Razor: Blackland Vector
    Blade: Feather AC Pro (1)
    Brush: Grizzly Bay Constitution
    Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated
    Soap: Ogallala Bay Rum
    Stirling Bay Rum witch hazel
    PAA Star Jelly unscented
    AS: Ogallala Bay Rum

    Good morning!

Back to work after the long weekend that still felt too short. Great shave to start the week. Three passes to BBS with totally silent alum.

I used the Ogallala puck like a shave stick again. I'm still amazed at the amount of lather this method produces. I do heat my scuttle to rest my brush in between passes so I still get the luxury of a warm lather. 21° for a high today so the warm shave is a proper start.

    Have a great day! [IMG]

I'm patiently waiting to see the photo of you with the Mickey Mouse hat, Perry.

Be very careful with the rides, though. We rode two rides for giggles many years ago and still can't get the songs out of our heads. I'll sing either one of these songs now, and it becomes an instant joke. One was a ride featuring Eastern Airlines at Disney...If you had wings had wings had wings... The song repeated the same lyrics for 4 minutes, and my brain has continued for the past 35 years. The other was It's a small world after all at Kings Island...oh my, now I am ruined for the day. The best plan is to stick with the killer roller coasters. Intense fear and blackouts will prevent any long-term memories.

Seriously, Disney is a blast. I've been there once with a buddy in college and twice with my Bride. If we return, it will be in the off-season when most schools are in session.
