Back in November, I did a focus on Tech razors and shaved with roughly 20 different ones, covering most of the common versions and a couple of mashups. One of the stranger ones was this one from the 21 November shave:

It is a pre-War style Canadian Tech with a ferrous baseplate and a bakelite handle normally seen on French market sets of the era. At the time, our collective guess was that it was probably a military-issue razor but was a correct set. Last night, however,

Look familiar? At this point, I'm inclined to say that I have one of those limited supply civilian ones.
On a side note, I love the wording of the final part of this ad: "Men who have no razor or need old ones replaced should be given first opportunity to buy. The limited supply of Gillette Tech Razors available prompts our request for this traditional Canadian fair play." Canadian politeness at its finest.
As for the shave... two days of growth effortlessly removed with no issues or irritation. The last time I used this razor, I was a bit concerned about it being slightly more aggressive than my other Canadian Tech, but I didn't notice anything today. Just blue birds over the White Cliffs of Dover...
