Hope your day goes well. I'd buy a lotto ticket on way home tonight. Better chances of winning lottery than being satisfied with that company. Good shave also btw .

    Soap Commander Love
Alum, Thayers WH, USB, Fine Platinum & Aramis
    44th focus shave

I performed two passes and a few touch ups on two days of growth, and the result was a very comfortable and error-free near BBS shave. I decided to launch JR # 160 in order to bring this container of soap to its ultimate demise. This should happen in a few days.

If I consider my week-to-week progress with the shavette, both my technique and confidence with it are slowly improving. I get closer error-free shaves in my trouble spots (around my chin and mouth area) by experimenting with skin stretching, direction, hand grip, etc. I'm taking baby steps. Sometimes I will take time to build a little confidence before trying something different. Inspecting the results in my 10x mirror this morning, I realize I still have some work to do on one side of my lower chin. I plan to start experimenting on this area by holding my razor in my off hand. I can see this move taking a few more shaves to perfect.

I realize a long focus like this would drive some folks nuts. (I'm already nuts, so it doesn't matter to me.) I get a kick out of learning new things to improve my technique. It actually keeps me from focusing on getting more stuff for the den. I can always buy more stuff, but I gotta learn new technique. I enjoy being in the zone while using my shavette, and I feel a sense of accomplishment at the end of every shave. Everyone is different, but that's more fun for me these days. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it.

I finished up a Fine Platinum and Aramis. To my nose, these scents pair well together for a nice finish. I'll never be as handsome as @Primotenore thinks he is after a great shave, and I'm OK with that. :)

    Enjoy your day!

RazoRock 400 Noir Plissoft Synthetic Shaving Brush
    Timeless Razors Lathering Bowl
    Williams Mug Soap
    CVS SE Blade-Modified
    VC1 Valet Auto Strop
    Nivea Aftershave Balm
    Pinuad Clubman Classic

I had a problem yesterday when I modified the blade to fit the Valet. While I was sitting at my desk and operating the lever to bring the safety guard up one of the pins fell out and then the other one fell out as well. I Loctited the pins back in and let the Loctite dry. This fix seems to be working. Glad this happened at my desk and not the bathroom sink.

First shave with the Auto Strop and it was not a bad shave. Very little alum burn, more of warm sensation than a burn. I would not make the Valet an everyday shaver but I will keep it in the rotation. When rinsing and moving the razor around I get a rattling sound at times and I think that is in the rollers. I just do not like my razors to rattle. The Valet is a great shaver though.

The Williams performed well and is a great soap.

Finished up with some Nivea and Clubman classic.

Y'all take care and have a great Thursday!
