  2. The bolsters are without a doubt 1920s Art Deco styled.

$30's just pretty awesome. Well done!
  11. My John & Wm Ragg arrived today. One of those wonderful surprises where the razor looks better in person than it did in pictures. I can’t wait to put this one to use. The edge @gssixgun put on it is calling to me. Really. I have visions of stubble effortlessly being waved off. Yeah, it’s been too long.

  14. I've been busy at work, for the past month or so and haven't been posting as I'd like. That hasn't stopped the acquisitions though and here is the group photo to prove that.

For the fancy Bolster lovers, No name Solingen gunstock scales with parrot, F.W.E. Trademark, Covalt & Smith Wizard, the dark scales are broken but have a good blade and the lighter has perfect scales but a honed out toe. Plans are to swap blades and make a shorty with new acrylic and onlay the snake bolsters from the dark donor. I'm thinking sky blue transparent but I'll take suggestions. :)
  15. You have been very busy on your acquisitions, well done.

  20. Thought this one was interesting and I need to do a little more research...
This Ern Ator was part of a 3 razor lot, and I can’t pass up an Ator for $6...

Okay, maybe it needs some work. :)
I love the humped tang, the shoulderless design, and the intact sweeping scales. But what drew me to this was the differences from what I have seen with Ators.
    • First, the design on the blade face

Actually, I can’t remember seeing one. This has “Ator” and “Magnetic” surrounded by two awards for a “Grand Prize” in 1904. I think Ern trademarked Ator in 1903 so I thought that was neat.
    • Then on the reverse it doesn’t have the normal “Ern” with a registration number. It has a cursive “Wedgeway.” Maybe Wedgeway Cutlery Co. or a Barber supply shop... still researching.

    Should be fun cleanup.
    Happy Hunting.
