Well, my goal is to spend "reasonably"..Perhaps in the case of Bill Neumann that is "more", but you do get more soap.
Notice the PAA products say Aftershave/Cologne ? They are scented pretty strongly so a little goes a long way. Sent from my Galaxy using Tapatalk
Headed out to get night 22 started. Great shave from a 1910 Gem Junior bar to start the day. First use of Green Mountain soap. Not bad at all. I will try to catch up a little later. Someone hand me my cane...and all of you... GET OFF MY LAWN!!!
There's a Green Mountain in Rocky Mtn. Nat'l Park, Colorado, and Vermont is the "Green Mountain State".
Funny you should ask. A coach/dad came up to me during try outs and recognized me from coaching soccer a few years ago. He asks if I just didn't want to coach baseball, and I told him I had a lot of job commitments this year. A few phone calls and stories of needing at least one more team later, and I literally just got home from introducing myself to 11 boys and their parents. My son did make a team, though.
The one thing I will say about the PAA AS, they call them aftershave cologne, and they honestly last as long or longer than several colognes. I got home this evening, and my 3 year old daughter gave me a big hug. The then took a big sniff of my cheek and said "you smell good." That scent was about 6:00 this morning until 5:00 this evening, which I don't think is too bad.
Your experience is shared by many, myself included. My skin tone and complexion is far better than when I used carts, and feel that a well executed SR/Shavette shave is the most gentle way to shave.
Day 48. Another three passes with the Movkva, and finished up with the single ring. First time using First Canadian with the straight razor. Unfortunately, the scent seems to be fading a bit in this tub. Not gone though. And the lather was awesome. It's still a keeper.
TFS uses no tallow. Their website even states "using only refined raw materials of vegetable origin." (Well, if you want to be pointy-headed, it says "utilizzando esclusivamente materie prime di origine vegetale" )
Well, this morning my cold didn't allow me to get the great Chiseled Face Ghost Town Barber scent. I was left to do the shave and just go by the titles on the A.S. and shave soap that it was indeed what I was shaving with. I now can smell things again, but I'm not quite over the hill on the cold. Anyway, I'll repeat the Chiseled Face duo tomorrow, and be glad to be able to smell what I'm shaving with.
