Friday's Shave Cold Water Wash Col. Conk Bay Rum Jayaruh #339 Boar Damaskeene OC Gem Glue Star SE CWR Lucky Tiger My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Col. Conk Bay Rum Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #339 Boar brush. I did two passes with the Damaskeene OC razor with a Gem Glue Star SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
DeHaven Model 3 Feather Pro A lovely way to end the working week. The DeHaven has been steadily moving up the pecking order.

Beautiful set up. Never had anything fall out like that. The rattle is no big deal I bet. I rattle when I walk too.
Saturday 23rd February Ever-Ready 1912 (English) with a GEM Personna SS Blade (including a shim) I love the Proraso Sandalwood Scent. The soap can be a little drying.....but that is easily sorted with the other lotions and potions! I could have stopped with 2 passes but went for a third to have a really close and comfortable shave. Enjoy your weekend everyone!
Sat 23rd Feb. Jayaruh No67 / Syn. Tabac Soap King Cobra Kai Captain Mild Pink [ 4 ] Tabac A/S Lotion I am still on getting to know relationship with the King Cobra. After the ATT SE1 Shave of yesterday the difference in weight was noticeable. I think I am getting there as I felt more confident moving it about, and was quite happy with the quality of the finished Shave. I did push it a bit going AGT and was rewarded with a weeper. A few more Shaves on and I will be dispensing with the Kai blade in favour of a Proline.

Put a PTFE blade in MMOC last night . Looks like I got in fight with a cat. My first few shaves went well with carbon blade. (I have very limited experience with Gem’s) What the hell happened?
They're very sharp. I tend to break them in with a milder razor, like a Pushbutton or Featherweight and then move them on to a more assertive razor. I've read that some people hand strop them before use but I haven't tried that.
