    Saturday Afternoon SOTD

This is a late post for yesterday's shave. I went to the American Heart Association Ball last night and wanted an extra close shave so I went for the ER-1914 again - it did not disappoint. I'm barely feeling any beard growth still this morning. The Duke Bourbon solid cologne smells incredible BTW and I rocked my new Orient Star dress watch. It's a shame I had to be up and at work this morning at 6am. Enjoy your Sunday everyone!

I love Orient watches......just a pity there is no distributor in the UK. That is a really nice timepiece.

    Cold Water Wash
    Col. Conk Bay Rum
    Jayaruh #339 Boar
    1907 Gem Jr.
    Vintage Gem Cutlery
    CWR
    Lucky Tiger

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Col. Conk Bay Rum Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #339 Boar brush. I did two passes with the 1907 Gem Jr. Lather Catcher razor with a Vintage Gem Cutlery blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    1665350A-65D4-4DCD-8FF5-59E1C982714C.jpeg My Sunday morning shave:

    Neutrogena Men Facial Wash
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/7 AM day 4
    Williams Shaving Stick (sample)
    Fino ASB
    Issey Miyake Pour Homme EdT

A really good BBS shave in two quick, easy passes and I enjoyed it a lot. This Williams stick was made in South Africa and unfortunately it was discontinued a few years ago. My friend sent me the remainder of a stick that his late Dad used and to be honest it’s pretty good - any time better than the North American Williams, at least to me. It’s got a nice rosy scent, it’s very easy to lather, and it doesn’t dry the skin out so much. The Fino balm is unscented and so moisturizing as well as soothing.

Nowhere to go today because we’re getting miserable weather! Enjoy your Sunday!

I really like those little Omega 10086 boars. Great for travel. I like them for whipping up lather right on the puck as they produce plenty for a 2 pass, touch-up without making a mess like their bigger cousins do. I rotate between a black and white one.
