Razor: Post-War Gillette Tech
Blade: Dorco STD-301 (1)
Brush: VdH Boar
Soap: Stirling Naked And Smooth
Post: Alum, Listerine
You may recall from my posts back in NOthing But Techs November, that I was working on something that I called the "Ultimate Tech Kit". It was basically a collection of Tech baseplates along with a fat handle and a cap and was inspired by those fancy, modern razors that come with a whole set of different baseplates. Over the past few days, I received a few packages and was inspired to revamp the kit. Behold...

The most obvious change is the etched cap bearing the image of a certain iconic starship. The etching was a very generous PIF by a member of another forum and the result was just too good to devote to a single razor.
The two-tone handle came was an eBay purchase and came along with a thick-cap OT head which was tarnished, but in otherwise good shape. That head is now part of a WIP restoration of a pocket set. The nickel plating on the handle is in surprisingly good shape though I'm not sure how the fluting got unplated without the loss of plating on the rest of the handle. I'm wondering if this is what you get if you remove the ebony from an "ebonized" handle.
Other changes: The nickel pre- and post-war baseplates have been replaced with gold ones to carry on the two-tone theme. (The etched cap previously in the kit has been reunited with its post-war baseplate and original handle.) An English FB Tech has joined the kit and, under it, is a New SC baseplate. (Thanks again,
@Jorvaljr.) Under the cap is a US Bakelite Tech baseplate.
Everything someone would need to shave in the vast reaches of the Final Frontier.
For today, I went simple with the post-war baseplate. Two days of growth easily removed for a most satisfying result with no issues or irritation.
I'm thinking that I may stay with this kit for a few days and just swap out the baseplates.
