  2. MONDAY'S SHAVE

    Razor - Edwin Jagger "Kelvin"
    Blade - [IMG] *2nd Shave
Shave Brush - Satin Tip "The Purest"
    Razor/Brush Stand by Royal Shave
    Pre-shave Oil - Lather & Wood "unscented"
Shave Soap - Catie's Bubbles "Le Piment de La Vie" *Luxury Cream Formula
Aftershave - Country Club for Men "Southern Oud"
Post-Shave Balm - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements - Mysterium Serum
    Deodorant - Sam's Natural "Tobacco"
    Fragrance - Creed Royal Oud

With this old 2015 croap Luxury Cream Formula (IMO, best shave soap Catie's Bubbles ever made, and is IMO, the best shave soap I've ever shaved with, but PAA CK6 is now right on that level at this point), I typically don't bother with pre-shave oil due to the performance & protection. I just keep the pre-shave oil ready just in case my skin isn't feeling great going into a shave (usually from left over irritation from the last shave). Also it's questionable if I will apply a balm after the shave because I like the Le Piment de La Vie scent to linger a bit afterwards.
  3. Thanks. It looked NOS when I got it off of Esty. Ive since used it a lot and its showing some wear.

    Proraso Green
    Jayaruh #321
    Schick M-2 Adjustable
    Personna

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Proraso Green Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #321 brush. I did two passes with the Schick M-2 Adjustable razor with a Personna blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Coate’s Sandalwood Cream today. 20 seconds to load the Knots in Your Heat/Whipped Dog Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. I loaded a new Personna Med Prep in the Gillette NEW Short Comb. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Clubman Whiskey Woods aftershave.

    Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/7 AM day 5
    Stirling Glacial Spearmint SS
    Stirling Glacial Spearmint ASB
    B&M Arctique AS Splash
    Aramis EdT

It’s been around two weeks since I had used such frigid stuff so it kind of shook me up a bit. As soon as I started lathering up with the Glacial Spearmint soap the menthol effect hit like a ton of icy bricks and my eyes started tearing but it felt so good. The matching balm, together with the Arctique aftershave put the proverbial “icing” on the cake. A fantastic BBS shave which I enjoyed immensely!

Wishing you all a great week!

Listened to a Grapefruit League game on the radio yesterday (Phillies vs. Tigers). Nothing says SPRING like a baseball game IMHO.
I was born and raised in Pittsburgh and as such was lucky enough to attend the 1st and 7th game of the 1960 World Series with my parents. The 7th game was nuts. Back and forth throughout. Then Maz hit the walk-off in the bottom of the 9th. Pirates win 10 to 9. I was 11 years old and remember it like it was yesterday. The city went crazy that night. Trolleys couldn't run because of all the confetti. Got the autographed ball some years later. Here's a pic of the program I saved.
