I only used the flattop Tuxedo for one day as well, Perry, but my experience with it mirrors yours as well. The Tuxedo bulb also has a ton of backbone, but is definitely different on the face than this one. I also found it very good with painting strokes, but it doesn't splay much... in the end, it is only in there with silicone.
I've got it on the docket a couple more times this week, so I'll have a better idea as I use it more. The handle is incredible!
Thanks Jason, My first brush was the VdH boar that came in the Deluxe kit. My wife bought me this brush along with a tin of The Blade Grim "Smolder" soap (also on amazon, do you see the trend ?) as an upgrade to that basic kit once it was clear that I was really enjoying the wet shaving experience. The Satin Tip was light years better then the VdH Boar and for quite some time (a month or two. Which is a long time in this hobby) that was my setup. I got to know the Satin Tip very well, and even though it is a smaller brush it always produces amazing lathers and never lets me down. Also unlike newer generations of synthetics the knot does have a little bit of scrub to it, which I like!
Thank you Jason. I have one more AOS cream that I’ll be happy to finish. I think I just prefer soaps in general. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I took the day off to try and shake this bug. I have to say that a nice warm shower and leisurely shave helped me perk up a little. Mickey Lee’s The Drunken Goat Soap Elk Antler Badger Brush Frederick Reynolds Razor Stirling Dreamsicle After Shave Have a great week.
That is my mug of Arko in the background of the picture. It sits on my sink all the time. However, I've never mixed Arko with Tabac. Nor any other soap for that matter. I suppose I could mix it with Williams but that might make the lather less reliable and, at the least, Fuzzy would drive up and kick my butt for molesting it. My butt doesn't need a kick.
Neal..this may be the best time to molest it if you want to. Fuzzy has been working a lot lately so he is probably to tired to protect the Williams!
I don't know. Even a tired Fuzzter @wchnu protecting the Williams is akin to a mother bear and her cubs. Frightening!
Thank you, Jim. Much better. I would buy this soap again IF I knew that it would be devoid of granules.
