February 28
February was a continuation of my focus with the Parker SRX shavette. I have completed 49 shaves with it so far, and I plan to continue this run into March. I used my 30DC LE, JR # 160, and my CH2 brushes, and I alternated between Lord and Rapira DE blades (both good blades, but the Rapira's, especially the Platinum coated ones, are slightly smoother on my mug). My technique and confidence with open blade shaving has continued to improve. It is truly an enjoyable and rewarding way to shave. I also took a small Trac II detour, but don't tell anyone. Although I used other soaps occasionally, my main focus was to use up my Soap Commander Love. Only a small remnant remains, and it will be gone shortly. Not bad, considering I began using this mostly full container in November! Soap Commander is a very good artisan soap, a great value, and worthy of any serious wet shaver's consideration.
Each day, I shared classic Calvin and Hobbes winter cartoons to keep the mood light. I hope you all enjoyed them as much as I did. This strip is the last (and probably one of my favorites), published on New Year's Eve 1995. It ended a 1o-year run where Calvin and his old buddy Hobbes never lost their love and excitement for life. May the same thing be said for us and our families.

I dutifully held up my end of the deal by participating in shenanigans, inside jokes, and enabling as opportunities arose. I've enjoyed participating with you all in Favorites February. It was especially fun to welcome our new members and continue cultivating relationships with the long-time members. A special thanks to our
Big Toe @NCoxSTL (cue the movie
Stripes) for throwing such a nice party.
See you all in March!
