  1. I admit I’m surprised that some of the items lasted a day.

    O.R.E.N with 2 dot plate
    Feather Pro
Wild West Brushworks with 30mm Tuxedo
    Mystic Water Vetiver & Oakmoss
    Fine Fresh Vetiver

I have enjoyed the much needed relaxing morning around the homestead. A leisurely walk with Mocha followed by breakfast with the wife. I put the Cobra aside to go with the OREN today. The OREN 2 dot plate paired with the Feather Pro is a very smooth and easy shaver. It is not as efficient or likely to bite as the Cobra. The WWB with its huge 30mm tuxedo knot is a true soap destroyer eating through the MW soap and whipping up enough rich slick lather for 2 shaves. Three passes and some serious buffing ended in a perfect BBS shave. A much better shave than yesterday. A splash of Fine Fresh Vetiver followed by a spritz of Guerlain Vetiver EdT and I am clean shaving and smelling great. ;) I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

  6. Wonderful shave, Clint!
  7. You had a wonderful shave, Clint!
  8. Thank you Guys. On another positive note, we actually have sunshine again today before more rain comes in tomorrow. I think I will try to take all the SOTD photos for next week today.
  9. Razor: Supply SE w/ Schick (@ram57)
    Blade: Schick (1)
Brush: DFS LE Nathan Clark Envy White Knot Handle Aluminum Color, Anodized Dark Bronze. #41/150.
    Soap: Lisa's Natural Herbal Creations
    A/S: Myrsol F/Extra
    Bowl: Suribachi

What an amazing pif I received from Navy Corpsman and fellow wet shaving member of this forum Guy (ram57). I started with the #2 plate. I did 2 passes and thought I should change to the #3 plate, however, I think I'll wait as I believe I found the correct angle of attack on my last 2 passes. I will wait a few more shave before I make the change. The soap was also from Guy and it produced a great lather. The amazing brush might of had something to do with it. Hope you like the picture Guy. I certainly wasn't going to take a bathroom picture with your gift.

  10. I had all of the weeks SOTD pics taken myself then I moved the Omega knot into a different handle. Needless to say I retook the photos.

  11. Wasn't this the same cartoon that I commented on by saying the man should have told the woman "One more crack like that, and I'll lift your railing off the steps and flip it away"(or words to that effect)?

  13. I'm in for another 30DC month. Going to make it up as I go this month. Last month I did a rule for my razor, blade, brush, soap, and aftershave. Very happy I did he rule, so this month will be different.
  14. Beautiful picture, Douglas! What a generous PIF from @ram57 !

  15. Joseph, while the Shapton glass 16k doesn’t get love poems like natural finishers it delivers and edge as good as any natural IMHO with a fraction of the work. You will get there in time, it’s the hardest part for me. I had to figure out how to do a pass from my ear to Adams Apple.

I use 2 VPN‘s, one is for secure email for work and the other is when I need a US IP address. US financial institutions seem to be fussy about where I login from, otherwise I just use the straight Internet connection.

  16. Those Corpsmen are always taking care of Marines. It is kind of like what they are made for. Marines always take care of their Corpsmen also Joseph.
  17. Thank you Jim, that is only half of what @ram57 sent.
  18. Fantastic PIF And photo Amigo. The polished finish looks amazing. The Supply SE took me a few shaves to dial in the correct angle.
