Gotta agree, Charlie. I understand what Paul was saying, but I also have to pipe up here. Businesses have to change because the world changes. If your business doesn’t change with it, it won’t survive, and therefore won’t employ anyone. In my career I’ve always put people ahead of profit, but there are times that circumstances beyond my control forced us to lay people off. In fact, one of the worst things I’ve ever had to do is lay off employees who were friends. Some actually gave my parents gifts for me when I was born and they felt more like family than employees to me. I cried through many of those meetings hugging them and vowing to do whatever I could to help them in life. Many of them ended up consoling me and coming back to tell me their successes after the fact, which I celebrated with them. In this day and age it has become trendy to demonize businessmen because, yes, a few of them are corrupt. However, the vast majority of businessmen are just regular people trying to do the right thing just like you and me. I now, will also retire my soap box and go put on some fancy pants...
I’d echo that, Brian. I don’t know your specifics, but I do know these things are tough on all involved. I also believe that God is not surprised by them and works things out when we trust Him. Praying for you, Bro. Charlie, it astounds me how much idle time you must have on your hands in order to scour the internet for these obscure images. The fact that you were able to track down a shot of me in a hairnet simply proves my point. In other news, I’ll bet I’m the sexiest man you’ve ever seen in a hairnet! (See, prior to the CT, I couldn’t say that).
Be nice, MISTER Fancypants, or I'll spill the beans regarding your "other forum" where guys dress up in hairnets and such.
I need some moderator input here @RyX as well as some CT help @wristwatchb, but is there a standing record for shortest amount of time between CT changes? It would seem a possible contender has just risen.
Thankfully a love of shaving avoids the beardnet. Do your regulations allow for not wearing a hairnet if the head is shaved? Former supervisor at a SQF III facility here.
Wow. Literally years with no CT and you want to change it after a day, Jim? Fickle bunch around here. For reference, I joined before Shavette Fu, and he hasn’t posted in over 2 years.
Round 1: Stirling - Baker St vs Declaration - Original Shave 1: Stirling Baker St. The Setup: Razor: Merkur 34C Blade: Feather Stainless Brush: Perfecto Pure Badger Mug: Henry Cavendish Post Shave: Witch Hazel and Cetaphil First, I am really trying to keep my enthusiasm to a minimum because this was an awesome shave. WTG, XTG, and some touchup got me near BBS. Stirling made a ton of lather with what I thought was a little bit of soap. I was amazed by the amount of water it needed. I thought I had drowned it at first. Then it just exploded and begged for more. It took me a while to get it dialed in. I'm going to chalk that up to this being my first time using the soap. You can tell in photo 3 that there was a ton left over at the end of 2.5 passes. This soap was very slick! I'm not judging too much on accent, but the scent and scent strength were great. I enjoyed everything about this shave. Stirling Baker St Slickness: 9 Ease of lather: 7 (should be better next time) Post shave feel: 9 Scent strength: Moderate I may adjust my ratings up or down depending how other soaps perform. The shave with Declaration will be Monday. The winner of this round will be determined then. Have a great weekend everybody!
