Coming off an AC/SE rotation the Starling feels quite aggressive , could do a bit of damage if rushed. Initial clearance is very effective but to get a nice close Shave, extra care and attention is needed, the Razor responds to a variable cutting angle which allows polishing up work to be done. I am pleased to say that today I got a better close finish than previously, no mishaps or post shave problems either.

I didn't post yesterday. I was so disappointed as it was a special event.I used a PAL blade or the first time in a Clog Pruf. It was like using sand paper and I had to revert to a Tech to get an acceptable finish.
Today's shave was a breath of fresh air and unless I am careful and behave myself....I may end up ordering another Focus Dynamic. (I fancy a red one!)
3 passes for an absolutely BBS result......and as usual with the R48.........2 would have been enough!

Wonderful shave tonight! It all came together for a BBS shave. The MDC has a wonderful citrus scent with performance that's hard to beat. The mildness of the General mated to the Feather Super is a great combo. The Armada Blossom has a wonderful scent and my face feels nourished and refreshed. I'm off for a date night with my fiancee. Coming to the end of this tub of soap, got the lather a bit too watery trying not to break up the residue. However, this did not prevent me from having a nice Sunday morning shave, problem free with a good all round close finish. Guess I will have to start the new tub.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Col. Conk Amber Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #321 brush. I did two passes with the Gem Jr. Bar Lather Catcher razor with a Vintage Gem Cutlery blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Barbasol Brisk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Been a lot busy at work this week, and am trying to play catch-up.

This week I am using my Jayaruh #220 brush which commemorates my one year in Vietnam from March 8, 1968, to March 5, 1969. It has been 51 years since I first landed in Vietnam.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The C.O. Bigelow Shaving Cream face lathered well with the Jayaruh #220 brush. I did two passes with the Gem Feather Weight razor with a Gem Blue Star SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Wth a reduced amount go growth from my "Streamline Shave" of yesterday the 1924 had an easy task. In fact it was a really relaxed Shave with excellent results, the 1924 handles really well with the long Windrose handle and makes fora pleasant Shave.

What a difference between the regular Personna and the Personna 74 blades! The regular Personna is good but the 74 is miles better to me. Wish I had more of them. Oh, the shave turned out just fine. Now go enjoy your day folk
