  3. Interesting history. John would probably groan at the shaggy dog story about Lincoln being born in a log cabin he built with his bare hands.

  8. And here's our first survey update. We got Soap Madness out front by 18 over Focus(52-34). Cookies And Duffnuts close behind in third, 4 behind Focus. We'll see if Soap Madness maintains the comfortable lead. Until then this is me saying "Keep running".

  9. Feeling inspired by @jluc I decided to work on my Alpha T-400. I have a El Druida Manchurian knot that has the backbone and scrub I prefer. With the extra ferrule waiting on an Omega 49 to arrive for transplant, I will need to remove the existing silver tip knot. I could take the route of cutting and drilling out the knot but that would likely cause scratches at the very least. So I went with steaming the knot out of the handle. This method only works with modern handles. I have used it several times on translucent handles for Mark.

Basically I fire up the Jet Boil and hang the brush above the boiling water. In 10-15 minutes, I grab the handle while wearing heat proof gloves and pull the knot out. As usual most of the epoxy came out as well. Please be aware the knot is destroyed in this process.

It's another day in the neighbor with the trusty Sierra Romeo X-ray, and all went well. It's snowing (guaranteed last time for the season), so we declared it a stay home day.

Have a great day, my friends!

  18. I'm short a few hundred K - otherwise I'd check if Randy @BaylorGator could pick me up on his private jet and take me. Since I can't play guitar, the Black Strat would be an incredible wall piece. Then again - ANY of his guitars could grace my wall. And probably be worth more than the entire house.

  19. 20190303_085208.jpg I have got to leave the shave world and pull the a/c compressor and drier off of my wife's vehicle. The clutch went out. Y'all take care and I'll catch up later on this afternoon.
